Does anyone have a positive experience with Discount Tire locations around Denver / Englewood / Loveland / Fort Collins? Coming up on 21k miles on OEM tires and about to go get new set of Toyo AT3 EV tires at Discount Tire if I can find a location other Rivian drivers have positive experience with. @Discount Tire do you have a list of Denver area stores that have the Rivian tire service training?
I used the Discount Tire in Arvada. 100% satisfied. They had the proper jack pucks and rotated/balanced without any issues.

I saw one of my thread and images in this thread, I had damage to underbody from discount Tire.

I do have to clarify though, Discount Tire did create a claim and covered the cost of damaged replacement underbody panels. It wasn’t the smoothest process and had to call multiple times, spend few hours on phone but they did come through to taking ownership. Also had to have Rivian SC appointment for them to inspect that it did not create additional damage internally.

100% agree and would recommend anyone using them to Follow the advise shared here in thread to minimize such headaches.

Marking the caps with stickers or even unattaching them (let it hang) before drop off may be a good idea so they cannot miss it and lift from correct spots.

Having said all that we will still be using Discount tire for rotations and have their road hazard warranty - cannot beat the price and convenience.

Sweet … which location? Seems like there are 2 around Arvada: 5330 Wadsworth, and another on 4580 Wadsworth (wheat ridge?)… and thanks!!

Glad that worked out for you. DT contacted me through this forum after seeing my post. Said they would call the location where my vehicle was damaged and would have the manager call me. Never did. Back and forth a few times but manager still never called. I called that location and was told the manager would call me back. Never did.

I remember when @Discount Tire was a strong presence on this forum. An excellent brand ambassador and troubleshooter.

Unfortunately, his/her bosses pulled the plug on his/her Forum activity. I think they preferred the predictability of press releases and ads, rather than the unpredictability of forum interaction.

It's not easy being real....

How much was the replacement cost for the panel? They damaged mine a few months back but I just told them to give me a discount on new tires when I’m ready since they are almost due. I think they offered me like a 12% discount on some new Wildpeak AT4’s

It definitely was not easy, I had to get store manager email and sent images of damage including my receipt for work to have them open the claim. Get the claim # and then had to call 1-800# for status updates where I also learned the claim was submitted incorrectly first time.

I was told multiple times claim department will reach out but I had to call few times and finally once got hold of an adjuster (right person) they located my claim and confirmed details to mail out a check.

Whole process was 6 weeks long (as I also had to have Rivian SC take a look at bottom to ensure no battery damage and give quote for panels).

I can send you DM for the phone #s I have hope that helps you get it sorted soon.

All underbody panels were quoted at ~$560+tax. Attached is the quote for all but I only needed to replace two. One damaged and one adjacent one which was bent and uneven.

Sorry to hear the horror stories here. I had my tires mounted on my new Atomic Wheels and they used pucks appropriate for my truck. They did a great job mounting and balancing my new wheels. Only minor issue I had was they could have put the plugs for the pucks back a bit better.

One came out and was dangling and another wasn't fully inserted. In their defense, the one that came out, I had a hard time getting it situated just right so it didn't do that to me. Everything else was done well and with care..

I used the one on 5330 Wadsworth in Arvada. I hope you have the same success that I did.

DT jacked our (new) Tesla with no pucks. The car got a non fixable nail, and although the other three were new they didn't have a matching tire in stock so replaced all 4 (and I paid for all 4, they didn't provide a discount or refund).

They acknowledged right away and put me in touch with their insurance provider and they paid for the cosmetic repairs (trim and scratches to the frame).

As a side note, one of the parking sensors stopped working while at the repair shop and I had to turn around and leave it with them (and go through the whole insurance process again).

A few months later the HV battery failed and would not charge bricking the vehicle. Not sure if related, but that was my biggest fear. It was replaced (with a used refurbished HV battery) under warranty ($16k).

The whole process was a nightmare.

Needless to say, if it wasn't replaced under warranty, I and DT tires would have had a bad day.

For that reason I am doing my summer to winter swaps myself (DT charges $20/wheel).
