Both flat-screens (driver's and main) blank/dark. All resets attempted (soft reset, hard reset, and 15+ mins of sleep mode) with no results. In the shop for service.

Maintenance manager suspects some type of software issue. Will learn more tomorrow.

Overall very happy with fit, driving experience, delivery experience, and internal quality.
  1. Missing spare wheel on delivery, it may have been confusion at the delivery center as the delivery guy stated he was told we did not order a spare. Showed him the purchase agreement where it shows as part of the order
  2. Accessories ( Wall Charger, Crossbars, Surfboard mounts, All-Weather Mats ) not supplied on delivery, being told they are 3 weeks out and will be shipped when available
  3. Some minor trim issues on lower doors and fenders, mostly gaps due to not being screwed in tight to the vehicle
  4. Truck height was higher on the driver side than the passenger side by 1-2". Was noticeable while driving, almost like having a flat on one side. Observed a larger gap between the top of the wheel and the fender. Trying different height settings did not solve it. Soft reset did not address it. Fixed it by setting the height to the lowest level and then performing a hard reset
  5. The truck drifts to the right, suspect it's an alignment issue
  6. Audio malfunctioned after enabling Gear Guard, sounded muffled, like it was mostly bass and the tweeters were not firing. Soft reset fixed it
I will say, as a Tesla owner, the Rivian app is really basic compared to Tesla's app. Very limited functionality. Of course, this will improve but I'm surprised they released it with such limited functionality.

It's been enjoyable so far. Here's my notes:

1. Missing spare tire, crossbars, all-weather mats, and key bracelet on delivery. (Charger did ship and arrive).
2. A few minor gaps here and there. One door is noticeably not flush with the body. Wood trim is fraying in some parts. Not sure how that will hold up long term, particularly because the cabin gets HOT with the glass roof. Spare tire storage is lifted up on the right side.

3. Random SYSTEM FAULT errors while in cruise control, but no indication what part of the system is at fault. Best guess is that it was the cruise control sensors failing out during a heavy rainstorm.
4. Random suspension adjustments. One side lowered while at a light today. Yesterday, about 30 minutes into charging, I hopped into the passenger seat to grab something and the truck suddenly lowered.

Wow… disappointed to see wood like that. Did they say they will fix the wood?

Here is a new one. After upgrading to 2022.19.3, when I drive it I get alarms about hood being open (it isn’t). Tried open and closing. Now it won’t open at all.
Called service, they said to do a reset followed by a sleep. Didn’t help.

My spare tire storage compartment lid doesn't always "catch/latch" all the way down, and have to push extra hard to get it to latch all the way down. When it isn't all the way down, the plastic cover on the inside of the tailgate will grab the spare tire compartment lid and not slide over it properly. Remedy for me is to always push the lid down extra hard on the right side. Not sure will work for you.

That wood trim is making me anxious. What is required to maintain this to make it last long? ?

Sandy Munro was critical about the wood trim. Seems that frayed wood is a result if their design/manufacturing process. Probably wont get “fixed” unless they change the design

My hot list follows;
1. Orange Peeling
2. Deformed Gear Tunnel Liner
3. Poor Mixing of Carbon Fiber Underbody

edit:
4. The weather stripping on the body underneath the door keeps getting knocked loose.
5. Suspension sounds extremely clunky on rough roads (Ybor City bricks, compared to my 2020 land cruiser)

After less than a dozen open/close cycles of the tonneau following delivery (3/16/22) it would not close completely - usually coming within an inch of the tailgate where it would stop. Several open/close tries needed to get it to close, usually with the tailgate open. A trip to the SC in April fixed the issue, but as of last weekend it's back again. I doubt it has been opened more than 10 times since the SC fix.

Since the SC is 250 miles away, I will wait for mobile service to get up and running to see if they can fix it without a trip on a flatbed.

Same issue here. If I "help it" close by gently pulling it will make it, otherwise stops about an inch short.

1. Vehicle thrusts forward and back seemingly receiving unsteady power to wheels, truck feels almost like it is bouncing?
2. Rivian App was showing cabin temperature in Celsius (I fixed this, apparently it was an iPhone issue)
3. Navigation was not detecting exactly where I was, it thought I was about 100 yards north of where I actually was, so it was telling me to turn onto roads I was already on, I went over bridge and it appeared as if I was driving on top of the river ?. After 30 minutes or so it somehow fixed itself?
4. Adaptive cruise one day started to slow down as I approached a stop light as it should but when vehicle in front of me decided they slowed down too quickly they sped back up and Rivian accelerated staying appropriately behind but when car in front of me slowed down again Rivian did not and I had to manually slam on brakes to avoid running into back of them.

Yikes, that's what makes people lose faith in systems REAL quick.

The Tesla phantom braking plague has made it so I basically only use it on wide open interstates.

Tesla has made it OK to sell unfinished vehicles and have their unpaid workforce (owners) test the vehicles they already paid for by using the hardware they own for data collection. But it is a consensual arrangement. People are still buying Teslas and Rivians hoping they will get better because in many ways, they are ahead of the pack.
