Nice! When did you order? When is it supposed to arrive?I ordered one for my R1S. It hasn't arrived yet....soon. When it does, I will count the number of bars and reply back.

Hello.Nice! When did you order? When is it supposed to arrive?
Hello KemxnsRight, so I'm most interested in Prospeed right now but I assumed it's vapor given all the data in front of me. I'd definitely want all 8 bars, but all the pics I can find show 4. This is either 4 or 5 (if you count the front wind deflector): https://prospeedrack.com/cdn/shop/files/[email protected]
I also don't see anything in their Shopify store about how to order the taper (to point #7 above).
Also is it just me or are there literally zero people out there with a Prospeed?
well that's fantastic to hear!! Pics and thoughts once you set it up would be awesome, but that's super cool to hear that it came through!Hello Kemxns
I received my R1S Prospeed Rack over the weekend. I can confirm that it comes with 7 bars. That's not including the front wind deflector and the small bar in the very back that sits behind the shark fin antenna.
Newbie question. How do these racks increase the load capacity beyond what the Rivian Crossbars are able to handle?I have a question about the load capacity of a roof rack. The Rivian OEM cross bars have a dynamic load capacity of 250lbs per pair of cross bars. If the rooks rack like the Front Runner slime II connect to six mounting points on the R1S rather than four should the load capacity be increased >
Van44 looks similar to the Prinsu Pro, but with even higher load limits. Curious to hear from the experts on these forums on how these compare.Im looking into racks and RTT right now. Van44 seems to be another option?
in theory, but you also have to consider the overall roof’s load capacity, not just the fact that the weight is more evenly dispersed with the 6 mounting points.Newbie question. How do these racks increase the load capacity beyond what the Rivian Crossbars are able to handle?
Got it, thank you. So in reality, even though these roof racks indicate higher dynamic and static loads, it really does not provide much benefit. For example, the Prinsu Pro is around 70 lbs, and if I add on a rooftop tent at around 150 lbs, I can support 560 lbs of additional static weight (whether that is people or gear). Essentially, it wouldn’t really give me more benefit of loading more weight.in theory, but you also have to consider the overall roof’s load capacity, not just the fact that the weight is more evenly dispersed with the 6 mounting points.
Still, The dynamic roof load limit is 250 lbs.
Static load capacity is 780 lbs. this means, you can have 250 lbs of RTT, plus 400 lbs (2 people) when not moving.
