Here's what happened to me when I got my original tonneau replaced:

I called into service on in October 2024. Told them that the tonneau open close button near the tailgate stopped working. Said I was worried that if I had a flat, I might have a real mess on my hands to try to force or break the tonneau slats in order to get to my spare tire during an emergency.

I told them the tonneau button might need replacement, but I didn't know, as I'm no expert on how it's designed or connected. So, I asked them to please advise ASAP.

They called back within a few days, setting an appointment for December 19, 2024, when they replaced the tonneau cover, R/L channels and broken open/close button.

I don't know which tonneau version I got, but I believe it's an older version, not the newer version V2, because the replacement has the same wider slats that my original one had. The work order called out: TONNEAU COVER - ELECTRIC Part #PT00000379L.

Does anyone know the part number for V 1.1?

Edited: to ad Question on part number
The latest is PT00000379-M so you have a fairly new one, likely v1.1.

100% working, never an issue, there's no warranty related reason to replace it. Will it fail eventually? Possibly.

Mine was working totally fine for over 2 years, until it didn't. Then it was a big problem, because the slats got stuck in a way that I couldn't get them unstuck without disassembling things, and I needed to use the entire bed space when it happened.

I'm still not convinced the "v1.1" won't eventually succumb to the same problem.
Mine did - v1.1 lasted about 10 months. I am currently in a two month queue to have it serviced.
