So now that 2026.15 is out, what works, and what doesn't work? What do you wish it could do, that's not quite in the inaugural release?

For me, one of the biggest QOL changes would be to "turn on/off rear accessory mode." It's something I always forget to do, and then takes 4-5 taps while driving to trigger, so a simple voice command to turn it on and off would be great. But right now, it just reads 2-3 paragraphs about how to enable the 120v outlets.

Wish list:

The ability to set default actions like turning on the heated steering wheel on every drive.
The ability to ask it why the navigation is re-routing me and how much time its actually going to save me versus staying on the current road
The ability to log complaints to Rivian Service. For example "its telling me to clean the front parking sensors but they are clean"

What's funny about the last one is it could explode the number of complaints simply by introducing an easy way to complain. I do have some complaints but they're usually things where I blame SW or I assume they'll always be that way (the passive entry system on a Gen 1).

RivianTrackr’s review showed how to provide feedback via voice to Rivian when a bug occurs.

Is it possible to have rivian assistant on my phone so that as I walkup with hands full, I can say "rivian, open trunk" and voila
This can also be done with Siri Shortcuts on an iphone. VERY useful. I have several shortcuts. You name them as you wish. Siri, open/close Rivian hood. …Rivian liftgate. Display Rivian - opens everything to show off. Secure Rivian - closes everything and locks.

Of course my Riv is in the shop when the Assistant finally rolls out… can’t wait!

I wish Rivian Assistant could control windows up/down. The only way I know of to do "all windows up" and "vent windows" is with the phone app, and that is a feature I use regularly and would prefer to be able to do it through the truck itself, or the Assistant.

I’d more-prefer a “kick to open” frunk

I had a ‘wave your foot round madly under the back of the car, hoping the sensor detects you and lifts the liftgate before you lose your balance carrying a bunch of stuff’ feature previously. Definitely should’ve tried the kick to open option. It may have been more successful. 👍😂

You would use the voice control while driving rather than reach across to the door panel?

Yes, one command versus pushing four window buttons seems easier. Usually something I do as I'm parking after driving with all the windows down. Inevitably, one of the windows doesn't go all the way up on one press so I have to try again or just press and hold. Then, when it is hot out I like to vent the windows and I like that the "vent" feature in the phone app does a good job dropping them all an equal amount, something you can't quite get with the door panel.

It's unfortunate that the only (current) calendar integration seems to be with Google calendars. Many of us that are in the Apple ecosystem, instead of running Android OS on our phones, don't use Google calendars at all.

I've already submitted feedback using the link at the bottom of the main screen on the phone app, which is what everyone that is posting on this thread needs to be doing. Send the feedback to Rivian through official channels instead of posting it on a forum that, in reality, won't change the status quo.

I was all excited about checking my calendar etc and then realized it doesn’t play with Apple. Correct me if I’m wrong please.
