I'm aware of the member/non-member, I just didn't know if Tesla vs non-Tesla member got different prices. I was curious to compare the same station with a Tesla vs non-Tesla.
Tesla has two prices for charging.

- One for any Tesla vehicle or a non-Tesla vehicle when charging is started from the app and the person has a membership subscription
- The other price for anyone not in the first group

https://www.tesla.com/support/supercharging-other-evs#supercharging-membership

A Supercharging Membership allows EV owners to Supercharge at the same price as Tesla vehicle owners when using the Tesla app. If you are a Tesla vehicle owner, you do not need a Supercharging Membership.

So ALL Supercharger prices went up? Not just for Adapter users?

Cut costs, raise prices. Classic
Yes :lipssealed:

For the few times I would need a Tesla charge in my R1T, I'll not likely have a Tesla membership and the pricing will make me look elsewhere if I am not time constrained.
On the other hand, when driving the Model 3, I'll suck up the price increase and appreciate the convenience, which is what I expect most other Tesla drivers to do. Look for a big boost in Tesla Supercharger revenue/profit.

I don't know what price increase you are talking about. It's definitely not a network-wide price increase. The closest Tesla Supercharger to my house is currently $0.36/kWh for Tesla owners or the Member pricing for non-Tesla vehicles. That's the exact same rate I paid for Superchargers in Kansas back in summer of 2022. There might be a few cents difference between different stations here in Kansas, but that's just noise.

Charging a Rivian at the same station would cost you $0.49/kWh or $0.36/kWh (if you have the $12.99 membership and start the charging session with the Tesla app). At $0.13/kWh difference, if you charge more than 100 kWh in the month, it's cheaper to sign up for the membership.

I just saw your comment on the previous page about Georgia previously being $0.23/kWh. The only time I saw rates that low was back in 2018 and 2019 when charging at stations that charged by the minute and when you would disconnect from the station before the charging rate slowed down too much - disconnect at about 50% state of charge. Doing that, back in July 2018, I averaged $0.116/kWh on a 1,500 mile trip through KS, MO, IA, and WI. It was a lot different landscape 6 years ago though.

Yeah, prices went up around me too. Oh well, I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised.

George, Washington*

It's a city named George, in Washington State. I literally just realized the lulz within the name, and now I love it.

Yes, it used to be less, just a month. In fact all of the Washington and Montana SC stations I look at are now more expensive. Before, it was a no-brainer to stop at them, membership or not. I would only get the membership for the month if I could charge enough to break even that month. Now, I have to go back to the drawing board and do maths. Ugh.

As someone who took delivery this March, I'm pretty nervous that I won't even get an adaptor this year at this rate. Hopefully the production and delivery of adaptors accelerates in Q3.

That was a funny town. Too bad they went back to their original name, Ismay. Maybe they could try Hannah?

Just FYI- I picked up an R1S on Saturday (3 days ago). SC rep called yesterday to ask how things were going. He told me to generate a service ticket for any issues I had so far (crack in wood dashboard, a couple of misaligned/wonky panel gaps). I asked him when I could expect my supercharger adapter. He indicated that they had already shipped to about 40% of the R1 owners and that I probably should see mine in a month or two. He reminded me to make sure to look for the email from Rivian and respond ASAP.

Not a chance 40% have been shipped. Not even close to that.

40%? Wouldn’t that be tens of thousands? Hard to believe
