Nicole booked me for an early appt on my local service center tomorrow 8am, hopefully this is something that can be troubleshooted quickly.

I don't care about the cover, but I'm concerned about my 12V system being over-stressed and the Rivian shutting itself down to protect the battery, hence why I plugged in my truck charging at a very slow rate with my Rivian Charger (I would encourage you to do the same)

Great troubleshooting and documenting the issue. I agree - think the cover is a separate, unrelated incident. Your video is showing the same thing I'm seeing on my security camera: blinking every 10-15 seconds. As others have mentioned, I don't think there's any way this is related to PaaK - my garage is a separate, *metal* building. The car is blinking even when my phone and fob are >50' away in the house. I'd be real impressed if Bluetooth is somehow reaching out there all of a sudden.

Not going to sleep and putting strain on the 12V makes this more concerning. Going out to plug mine in in a minute.

Yup, zero related with anything proximity. I have my key fob in the same place since I own the truck, phone was in my office when I capture this and my garage is in the opposite end of the house and it's detached with bricks and frame walls... Zero chance of proximity-related. Also, the electraFi shows no sleep when EVERY SINGLE day I get it to sleep a few mins after parking it.

12V is what concerns me HEAVILY (I already had mine died one) and Since I'm taking a trip I can't afford being stranded, hence why my shoutout to Nicole as she understood my urgency and also my local Service Center who agreed to diagnose this as a Critical issue.

Hopefully it can be diagnosed before friday since I NEED to tow a trailer/car on Monday Fingers crossed

Could it be downloading and updating Driver+ data in the background?

OTA 2025.14 has the following:

We’ve improved driver assistance data updates, so the vehicle receives the latest status of highway or road construction, updates of certain speed limits, and other data to optimize availability and safety of Highway Assist and other driver assistance features.


For your vehicle to automatically receive updates, connect your vehicle to Wi-Fi. After you vehicle receives an update, it automatically applies the update in the background, so you can drive the vehicle and use driver assistance features. To view the progress of a data update, go to the quick control Settings > Vehicle > Updates on the center display

NOTE

• If the vehicle isn’t connected to Wi-Fi when an update is available, the vehicle notifies you on the center display.
• If highways undergo or finish construction, this may affect the availability of Highway Assist and other driver assistance features.

OTA 2025.14 has the following:

Doubt it that it would be the cause to keep the vehicle awake for 24hrs (and counting). Also, when I enabled Shipping mode, it disabled EVERYTHING communication related as well.

this exact thing is happening to me too. seems to have started over the last day or two. vampire drain is crazy high now and I put in a service ticket today. Quick half flash, then full flash every minute on the minute all day long. PAAK is completely off, key fob in a Faraday bag and no phones around at all. tried a hazard reboot and it stopped for maybe 20min then came back.

Having the same issue here with my Gen1 R1T. Hard reset did nothing. Submitted a ticket...

Have the same issue here, started Friday night/Saturday am. No way we are all having the same concern randomly at the same time. I tried hard resets, disconnect both 12v’s and the HV battery. Thought I was going crazy.
I have a 2022 quad, what does everyone else have with this concern? Maybe there is a pattern?

Same problem for me. Noticed it Sunday night. Blinking taillights every ~ 20 seconds and some relays clicking in the dash. Also noticed my battery was warmer than usual after sitting overnight. San Diego SC booked me out to September.

2022 R1T quad. Tried reseting again and no luck. Giving service a call in the morning to get something scheduled.

There's at least three separate threads on the Facebook group. I haven't checked reddit lately, but wouldn't be surprised to see it pop up there, as well. If it were me, I'd go in there with a laptop with all the tabs open and be like "look here".
