My 23 R1T LE has actually been working quite well since the last update. It looks like they may have fixed the problem when a message would pop up for a fraction of a second, and leaving you wondering what the problem was.
Unfortunately, this morning, going to work on highway 80, my Highway Assist was working perfectly until I got to Berkeley. Suddenly, I got a "Take Control Now!" message and another message saying "Adaptive Cruise Control unavailable until Serviced".

On my way home today everything is working fine again. My question is:

Can Rivian find the intermittent faulty module via remote diagnostics? I'd rather not take it to a service center only to have them say they can't figure it out.

This happened at 5:20am today with not even a peak of sunlight.

However, it's very interesting that you mentioned that because just before I got the error message, I had driven under this weird metal structure that crosses over west bound 80 in Albany and it has a strange aluminated number sign in the lane I was in. Back when I first bought my Rivian over a year ago, my Highway Assist would always kick out at that exact spot.
There is only one other place in the Bay Area that I get a frivolous message and that is driving thru the Benicia Bridge Toll plaza. Right after the FasTrack camera/lights go off, I get a message to "Hold the Steering wheel" even though I have a death grip on my updated (weighted) steering wheel.

Could very well be lasers or other non visible spectra being shot down from those signs and toll readers.

There's a reason drone guns have laser beams on them...

Mine popped up tunnel ahead take control Tuesday nite…there was no tunnel and have no idea why it did it. Then disabled the function until the next drive.

Minor inconvenience but silly regardless. God luck figuring it out.

I get that message; that and "Put your hand on the steering wheel" while the vehicle is traveling in a perfectly straight piece of road.

I am having problems with the drivers display; I don't get any traffic images around the vehicle. I got a call from the SC rep last night and that will be tacked onto the service appointment I have in a few weeks.

I've been dealing with this for months...as have others. It seemed to pop-up sometime around the June or July update. Lots of people with this issue all the sudden (in my book) = software issue.

The problem is it makes this highly-touted selling feature nearly unusable. I had a 1000 mile trip in early August, and it happened like 20x. Annoying.

I wholly agree. I was just getting use to the Driver Assist then that update hit. Lost the visibility images in my blind spot, and the functionality is borderline unstable. We have not done much long distance driving, but when I use it while out on our local Interstates, I am having it drop out several times. It IS annoying.

I have read various postings about the issue, and seems that the SC are able to remedy it easily; does not seem to be something that can be fixed OTA. I am waiting to the next software push; supposedly, like NOW - hoping that it clear this issue.
