Me: Yep. It’s a Rivian.

Dude: It’s ugly

Me (in my head): Well, you’re fat.

Me (being polite): I disagree. It’s awesome and I get the most compliments on its looks.

Gotta love it. Car enthusiasts complain that every car or SUV is starting to look the same, often driven by aero considerations. Then a company decides to make a departure, like the headlights and light bars on the Rivians, and half the people lose their minds saying it's weird and ugly. Me...I love that it's distinctive.

And looks like Baymax...

I've lived in California for over 25 years, but I grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs. The "Wawa" in the thread title got my attention. This interaction brings back memories of the City of Brotherly Love.

He should work the Home Depot or Walmart parking lot on weekends, that will keep him in ugly indefinitely.

Wow - that's amazing.

I had one lady literally stand in front of me in a parking lot while I was driving out. She stood there, put her hand up at me, and then walked to the window to tell me how much she loved it (followed by the usual list of questions).

The amount of compliments I got each day was a bit staggering and almost concerning at times because so many random people would just walk up to my driver's side door when I was parked somewhere.
