Thanks to all for the feedback.. looks like I'll be holding off on this update till TFN and they straighten out the HVAC issues.

the S has been the main vechile with this issue— who with a T has seen this pop up? Seems like it’s still an S issue?

Been playing around with the new trip planner in the app. Is there an option to add a waypoint? Example- heading south from seattle to CA. Have Rivian as the only preferred network. It skips the Happy Valley RAN and sends me to an EA south of Portland. Going to the RAN is a slightly longer route. Not a big deal since I don't need nav to get there but would be a nice option.

S. I’ve owned since 9/22 and no issues with compressor noise (no buzzing at all) until release 2023.22.0.
I don't think this issue has anything to do with this specific software release. My R1S on 2023.18.00 and I get the exact same noise. Disappears when HVAC is turned off. It could just be a coincidence that you noticed it right after installing the update.

I respectfully disagree... my R1T is 10 months old. It never made this noise upon startup until the morning after the 2023.22.00 OTA update. In my case, the turbine noise does not last long - I continue to believe it is associated with battery conditioning as the noise tends to cease once my miles/kWh efficiency meter gets to "normal". I do not believe it has anything to do with cabin temperature. YMMV.

It immediately happened after the update, which included behavior changes in how the compressor works. Seems connected to me.

I have it on 2023.18.0 - but I am in TX, so the temperature is 100+
I still did not get the latest update.

I understand what you both are saying and do not deny that it happened right after you installed this update. What I'm saying is that the issue was present even in previous iterations of the software, so I doubt that it was something exclusive to the 2023.22.00 update that caused this.

I successfully updated to 2023.22.0 about 5 days ago or so. Anyone else still having the issue with highway assist shutting off when going through overhead gantry electronic tolls?

I don’t think it’s paused.

I didn’t see the update when I checked earlier. I just opened the app and now I see this when I swipe up from the vehicle screen:

Yeah not paused, I got it yesterday but I'm waiting to install.

As I mentioned above, saw it first hand on my friends R1T that came over on Sunday. Not saying it's definitely the software update, but I'm waiting a few days.

Weird - ours used to scream immediately when you opened a door. You’d hear the compressor going into a pretty high speed and then trim down.

With this new update, it no longer does that. Starts off slowly, ramps up very little and this just stabilized when I open a door.

I also had some time to drive it in 90F weather in the afternoon and it seems a lot more conservative.m, even when I have recirculating off.

I wonder if some cars are affected differently depending on how much Freon is in the system.
