Yes, I have the same issue as well. The center screen is very inconsistent and the car image is constantly popping in and out of it's position randomly at times. I also don't use LKA, as i find it more annoying than useful. Driver+ worked fine the few times I used it though.

I’ve noticed similar - the driver’s screen shows me more left in the lane than warranted, or than the surround view does. I took a photo like yours a few months ago but never did anything with it. Occasionally that also includes the LKA reaction but not much lately. Maybe it’s a calibration issue, but perhaps it’s also a little biased to keep away from the center yellow line and oncoming traffic.

Edit: Found the photo.

Yes. Mine appears to be bias to the left of the lane. Most notably on two lanes as your photo appears to be. Less on the highway.

You’re referring to the Lane Keeping Assist…. I admittedly turned mine off the day it left the factory b/c it drove me crazy. Is it off all the time or only on certain roads or driving conditions?
Yup, same. I’m not a ‘distracted driver’, trying to read my phone and drive, so if I cross lanes, it’s because I’m intending too. It drove me nuts trying to correct me as I tried to switch lanes each time, so that was off on day 1.

So… if you use your turn signal to signal your intention when you are going to cross the line you won’t experience the “correction”. ;)

I didn’t realize that would override it, although that makes sense. I was experiencing it on open roads with little traffic, where I’d switch from the overtaking, to the driving lane, often to account for curves, but without traffic, and having to fight the wheel each time as it knew better. I do typically indicate when other cars are around, but still won’t be turning it back on. Thanks for the factoid.

They should just get rid of that visualization on the driver's screen. Use your own eyeballs, folks!
That's what I thought in the past. I spent significant energy and attention trying to reconcile what I saw on that screen with what I saw IRL. Sometimes the differences were startling - like when I go through a 2 lane (one way tunnel) in the left lane and it shows a phantom lane - AND VEHICLES - to the left, creating a 3 lane tunnel. I also hated how even massive vehicles would disappear - or appear completely - if they moved just a few inches forward or rearward next to me.

I think it has gotten less bad in the 9 months I've had my vehicle.

But a couple of weeks back I noticed this - the view showed vehicles ahead that I could not SEE. That is perhaps the first time that this view has added value for me rather than being a dangerous and inaccurate distraction (please don't grind on me for driving 70 mph in a 60 mph zone :))

Same problem. Often times it shows semis as motorcycles and phantom vehicles that are not in front of me. This is with a clean windshield, no fog or possible obstructions.

Yes, all the time. But I don't think mine has much of a right/left bias.
I don't think THIS example is a bias - I think it's reading the reflection in the water in the normal left wheel rut as the "white line" on the left. Look how it converges towards the car ahead rather than diverging as the double yellow does. So...yeah...in this example the left wheel of the OP's car is indeed the left of the "lane".

Note too that no Driver+ options are given. If the software had more "confidence" in this interpretation of the evidence I would be alarmed.

I only drive by watching the driver's display. Ya know, with my eyeballs

IS NO ONE GOING TO ASK WHY THERE IS BLOOD DRIPPED ACROSS THE STEERING WHEEL?!
Haha, it was blessed by a hindu priest. Its part of an indian ritual to get your new cars blessed.

Yep, same for me. Regardless of the weather or day/night, the driver's screen is always biased to the left.

I have the same behavior. When I’m centered it shows me closer to left lane. When I use Driver+ it centers me on the screen but now I am close to the right lane. It can get uncomfortably close to the right lane at times.

My theory: if you look at the camera/sensor on the front windshield you’ll notice it’s slightly off center, closer to the right side (facing forward). Is it possible the software guys didn’t account for this? Seems crazy to think so, I know, but here we are with a vehicle that can’t center itself.
