I apologize if this has been brought up before, but I searched the forums and couldn’t find anything.
Anyone else have a wacky sharp pattern caused by their headlights? I’ve added pictures, but iPhones suck at night time photos.I know normally this isn’t an issue, but I have OCD. Not like many people saying “oh I like to do this, I have ocd, hahaha.” No, I have a clinically diagnosed condition in which I will get anxiety of things don’t line up. These headlights, and their pattern, has made it so I can’t drive at night without the high beams on. Just curious if this is normal or is something out of alignment on mine.

That’s normal so you don’t blind oncoming drivers to your left and illuminates more of the right side of the road.

You could attempt to lower (tilt) your right headlamp assembly, using the adjustment screws under your hood if you want to attempt to line them up.

This is how a nice pair of projectors will line up. Your right headlight looks a touch too high (or left headlight a touch too low)

You will have the step down, to give better illumination on the right side of the road and not blind everyone driving against you.

I'm waiting on delivery right now, but am excited to see how the headlights perform.

All my cars in 2007 have had those patterns. It drove and drives me crazy; but if you have medical condition, can the service center accommodate to adjust appropriately?. Do reach out to them and I hope they can accommodate for you.

Exactly how it's supposed to be, and all modern vehicles are set like this so you don't blind oncoming drivers.

Perhaps due to owners "fixing the problem"?

i thought that but its consistent with almost every Model Y i see.
Well, Tesla has never been known to follow convention even when there's good reason. :)

Pretty sure this has come up multiple times. This beam pattern isn’t unique to Rivian. Welcome to circa 2010, and earlier if you are familiar with European cars. By design it is meant to light up the road (ahead and to the right) with diminished risk of blinding traffic heading the opposite direction. I have OCD also but I know enough to accept things when they are done for good reason. Don’t be another Ken. Got too many in here already.

You should notice that the little notches line up with the lane lines. Reduces the amount of lane line glare for oncoming traffic. Maybe that knowledge will help your "OCD".

I was wondering why my headlight pattern had a weird spot compared to my normal hid projectors. The left light pattern has a slight shadow that dips down and back up forming a U shape.

Deer usually come from the ditch side of the car, so if you can integrate that into your reasoning, and leave your lights alone, you might avoid a collision.
I understand about your condition. More than half of adults eventually are treated for some kind of similar condition in order make them more comfortable. Biochemical conditions can be helped with good diet, exercise, and everything in moderation. Who knew?
