My corner and backup sensors went out, and I keep seeing the alert on the screen whenever I start driving. I contacted the service center, but any appointment availability is at least 2.5 months out!

I am not sure how this issue will be addressed when the R2 comes out, but the thought of even longer wait times worries me.

I am in the Portland area btw

Initial wait times are just placeholders. They leave slots open for emergency and safety related issues. They usually call to verify info and more the appointment accordingly.

I got remote service in 10 days. When they said I needed to go into the SC to get the repair done (faulty parking sensor) my appointment was 2 months out (Dallas).

My wait times (San Jose SC) have been 3 months, 3 months, and nearly 3 months, though they’re opening several new SCs in the area that I hope will cut down on the waits.

I’ve used both the SC’s in Tualatin and Portland and my main complaint is not so much the wait time, it’s knowing that they might leave your vehicle parked in their lot for weeks before they even start working on it.

Every time I’ve needed service I emphasized I wanted them to start work on the day I arrived. Even when I dropped my truck off I asked if all the parts were in stock and I repeated I expected the work to begin today. In every case they did begin work immediately but I’m sure they consider me a PITA.

I submitted a ticket for HVAC loss of cooling issues 2 weeks ago and was given mid-October. I reached out and said that would be unacceptable and they moved me up to August 11th. When they called to confirm yesterday, they advised lead time to repair was 4-6 weeks. Upon questioning further, they claim it has to be on property so it's ready whenever they get to it. They have serious workflow management issues. if they need a couple week's work of repair vehicles sitting on the lot 'just in case'. Also a cost control issue as they are paying for a lot of rentals with Enterprise for all those vehicles.

As a countering viewpoint, when my air suspension blew out on week 3 of ownership requiring a tow to the service center, they had it fixed in a day.

This is at the Dallas service center.

San Jose Service Center here and I had the AC leaking inside the driver footwell issue. Opened the ticked on 8/4 and next available was 8 days later. When the call center spoke, they were able to get it in earlier on 8/6.

The Tampa Florida service center is booking over 2 months out. My August 6th service request resulted in an October 23rd appointment.

I can’t imagine what they are going to do once the R2 comes out. No way the current scheme can handle the expected increase in vehicles needing service. I suspect this could become the defining moment for the ultimate success of the brand.

I'm in the Boston area. First tire rotation had 7 week wait. A failed suspension sensor was 8 week wait - had thought that would get escalated as critical but it wasn't.

Just tried to get next tire rotation via mobile service and the app reported 'none available.' A service scheduler called back the next day and confirmed that. Also, while 2 new service centers in the area are opening soon, only Chelsea is running at this point. It was going to be Dec for the tire rotation. We don't have Discount Tire here. And my jack only does 2 tons.

I have to give kudos to Sarah from Rivian scheduling. I got to talking with the her and commented on an upcoming road trip to Colorado. She asked if I would be in Denver and when. Bingo. Service scheduled for 2 weeks from now. The Denver center called the next day to ask if a mobile service would be more convenient. If only we could have that level of support in Boston. Hopefully soon.

12 V Battery Issue was 3 days
R1T Tailgate trim replacement mobile appointment was 10 days

Both appointments happened within the last two months. My mobile tech told me that they send people from this location to train personnel at other service centers. I hope the whole network can be brought up to this standard.

I've been into the Niagara Falls SC 6 times now and had 2 mobile visits. Never had to wait more than 5 working days to get in. Often I have to push the SC back due to personal schedule. The two mobile appoints were next day when I called.

With that said I think I've seen 3 other Rivians here in Buffalo. EVER. There aren't many of us up here.

Bellevue, WA was 5 months for a Front Camera not working, which I assume is a safety concern but my appointment was never moved up.

There are no mobile appointments available in the area

We use the Gaithersburg MD service center and it's always 2-3 months out. Mobile appointments are down to a couple weeks out. They are opening a new SC in Northern VA so hopefully that will cut down on wait times.
