I could be wrong but I use standard mostly because it seems the brake lights illuminate more frequently/easily in stop and go traffic. Although high is my jam.

100% wife doesn't like the high regen feel.I use high when alone and low when my wife is in the car as she does not like the feeling of the high regen braking effect.
High for me. I sort of weirdly enjoy the game of "Stop Sign Shuffleboard" where I try to lift off the accelerator at just the right spot so that the R1 comes to a full stop right at the sign using only regen. When it comes to regen I'm of the "give me all you got"
I do wish that it did stop light detection and it could use optimized regen for stopping right before the line. That would neat.
Instead its up to me to modulate it so it stops right before the line.
I am using high regen on my R1S. More regen would be fine but it is perfect the way it is. My EV6 has less regen but I barely notice a change in how I modulate the electric pedal for it. It’s my wife’s EV6 and she uses it on max regen and loves it even though she doesn’t take well to new stuff. I rarely drive the EV6 and when I do it takes only a few minutes to get used to it. Either one is totally natural.I have been using high regen setting using AP drive mode for long time (2+ yrs). Couple of weeks ago, I decided to try out standard/middle regen setting, and found out that it's a lot easier to drive. The high regen mode requires rather steady pressure on accelerator to stay in the narrow pedal travel for coasting. It's much easier to achieve this coast in standard regen mode, and I haven't noticed any significant decrease in efficiency. I also haven't used brakes any more either, and the ride also seems smoother for passengers. I recommend giving it a try if you're on high all the time, and haven't already tried it.
