This. There are a lot of Subaru folks who are just itching to buy the right EV. The Model Y isn't it, yet. It just needs to be a bit more rugged and outdoorsy.Design: Ends up being a sport wagon type vehicle that competes with the Subaru buyer.
Features: 1-removable seats or interchangeable configuration of seats and storage options behind the driver. 2-v2v charging capability. 3- sharks with laser beams anti theft mode
also, instead of a camp speaker, it has a storable Rivian camp chair…
Maybe they could give us a hatchback version with something like this.Surprised no one suggested an integrated camp kitchen yet.
I prefer my burritos cold, so I'll pass.A 1200hp 6x6 with 800 mile range that charges from 10-80% in 2 minutes... And has a burrito warming drawer under the center console
You could probably also use it for pizza, but it would be a travesty...I prefer my burritos cold, so I'll pass.
Yeah, I'm kind of with you. Really want it to come in closer to the $40k mark so keep it basic, but with options that allow the customer to spec it up.I really want a base model that is sub $50k, maybe $45k, needs room to option it a little and stay within the tax credit.
To get there, I think it should be:
1. Basic interior, with upgrade options to something nicer (like upgrade for ventilated)
2. Base should be single motor, with an option to do dual motor, people will do fine with a single 200hp motor in the rear and an option to upgrade to 400hp AWD.
3. 800V architecture
4. Option for a sunroof
5. A ~290mi base battery, option for a ~375mi battery
I am in this same boat. I do feel like Tesla with the Model S and X suffered similar service center issues until the Model 3 really got going.Love to have a R2 but after constantly requiring repairs on my 2 R1Ts and 1 R1S, plus, the nearest service center is over 400 miles away, Rivian really needs to expand their service centers and mobile service while improving their quality.
They might need to do some serious marketing / awareness campaign to get that many preorders. I still get people asking all the time, who makes that truck, and who is Rivian.I'm hoping they announce they are opening up for preoders and get a million preorders in the first week. *And that i'm in the first 10K! Rivian for the win...LETS GOOO
