I took delivery of my R1T in June and will not be replacing it for some time. The Gen 2 vehicles have some nice improvements, but the R1T is impressive in it's own right.
The tentative plan is to eventually get an R2S, perhaps in 2027, selling both existing of our vehicles (the R1T and our Telluride) to go all-electric. The odds are overwhelming that by 2027 the EV infrastructure will have matured to the point that ICE vehicles are recognized as an endangered species. I suspect we will still need a second car, but that can be a small vehicle, hopefully the Aptera which I've had a pre-order in place for since 2022.
