Window Wash Fluid - Weak?

My R1Ts window wash fluid doesn’t spray/mist most of the windshield as all my previous vehicles. My fluid just kinda broadly hoses at the base of the windshield. Is this normal?

Interesting... I would say my experience is closer to OP, I have to rely on the wipers to distribute the fluid to the upper part of the windshield. Wonder if I need to submit another service ticket that Rivian can ignore.

Edit: I was just trying it in the garage and the coverage was better than I expected, previously thought. Maybe at higher speeds it doesn't work as well, will have to try next time I go out.

Same here. In SC for missing wheel well fasteners and wind noise and door weatherstripping not secured with adhesive, but didn't think to ask about the weak windshield washing fluid spray.

Some manufactures nozzles are adjustable, with a pin or needle in the hole. Mine spray at the base and it sucks. I will see what I can do and report back.

This is one of the weak points of the R1T. The spray nozzles seem to be straight off a 1980's Toyota Camry (not great).

My Volvo has amazing wipers + nozzles. They're integrated into the arm and you get FULL windshield coverage without blocking your vision. I wish Rivian had some something similar.

Mine gets some fluid up the windshield when stopped. Add some speed…it’s all at the base. I’ll have to look for adjustment mentioned.

My jets are pretty weak most of the time. Last time I was in the service center I had them take a look. When I was dropping it off and showing the tech the things I wanted looked at, he was like "yeah, we'd probably want to replace the whole jet system". When I picked up the truck the service advisor said that weak jets is a known problem for Rivian and that there was nothing they could do.

At least Tesla sprays through the blades so speed doesn’t have any impact on it. I’m hoping the Rivian nozzles are adjustable.

Actually tesla is much worse at speed. The fluid ends up at the top of the wiper and is pushed laterally into the passenger window. Why the driver side window is always dirty. I guess it works for CA. Soft
