Heated front fog lights -- even if they have to put some incandescent bulbs into the mix to achieve this.

Needed when wet snow adheres to the main headlights and accumulates faster than it can be brushed off.

Best wishes!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your request, but there is a physical button to open the frunk. It's located on the underside by the grill - as shown in this picture. Sometimes you have to press it once or twice to wake the car before it opens, but it works great for me!

One more to add to the list: Why can't I turn off the fan by tapping that "fan down" minus button? I can control the fan speed, and turn the fan ON when it's off by pressing the +, but if the fan speed is 1, that minus is right there but it's disabled. I have to open the whole climate control app and tap the on/off button.
Press and hold the part of the button with the fan speed (or temperature). After about 2 seconds, it'll turn the whole HVAC system off. Same again for on. And if you don't have giant fingers like some people I know, you can even see a little gray flash in the area you are pressing and holding on.

Wonderful, thanks!

I just got my truck back Friday after having a service loaner all month. I’d like to see Rivian make driver profiles portable… like Tesla. If I get in another Rivian, let me scan a QR code or something so my Apple Music, seat settings, garage door, etc appear on that car. Let me have app access until it is revoked by the owner account.
That would be 100% a software improvement that would improve the service experience, not to mention add options for people or businesses that runs a fleet or even turos their car.

I wish the Music App would remember the services I use and have selected instead of randomly rearranging them and so that Spotify an Audible show and Apple Music and XM do not. No, I do not want to sign up for Spotify or Audible.

I think it's because you setup in car screen "behavior" to be unlock all doors. But once you setup to be unlock driver door only, there's no way to unlock all doors in app. In real life people may choose unlock driver door only as it's safer especially in urban or night situation. But once in a while you might have guests to show off your Rivian, to unlock all doors for everyone becomes a not so sexy maneuver, climbing over a very tall driver seat and hit that unlock symbol in middle screen. At least that's only way I know how to do it without a FOB.
Makes sense. One of the first things I do with any new car that has the option is to set it to open all doors, then I promptly forget that it's an option until the next new car doesn't behave how I'm used to and I have to dig through the menus to fix it.
At least after I moved out of the Bronx.

More options/modes for seat warmers. 1. both, 2. back only and for some i suppose 3. bottom only. I'd be happy with options 1 & 2. Also some pre saved seat position (2-3 work for me) options. Sometimes I feel like sitting all the way back and taking a nap while charging.

Please allow more than one location as a “home” for turning off proximity locking. It’s so annoying when I’m at my cabin to have to disable proximity locking in settings, and then try to remember to reactivate it when I go to the store.

Thanks!

Start this topic for people to show things that bug them but Rivian can improve without spending buckets of money.

Font sizes on displays. Some information are so important that drivers check often when driving. They need to be larger and more eye catching. Design vs Utility issue.

Interesting. The legacy auto Toyota RAV4 Prime does this perfectly too! But Hyundai and Rivian, EV power houses have no clue how to accomplish this. With my Toyota after you plugged in, it started charging very briefly to register charging power and time required, then it stopped charging and got into schedule charging mode. It did it perfectly every time during 2 years of ownership. About half hour to hour before departure time it charged to specified percentage.

This kind of programming is like you get in college computer science 101 homework. I wonder what blocked the mind of engineers at Rivian and Hyundai.
GM and Ford also do this perfectly. In fact GM allows you to program a different departure time and target charge level for each day of the week.

After a little over two and half years and 82k miles I still like my R1T, but not as much as when I first got it.

Rivian Wish List
  • Ability to set charge level and time to finish. (ie: have battery charged and warm when I'm ready to leave by calculating when to start charging so it is done at a set departure time.)
  • Something to clear the headlights during snowy weather. (Like the 70's european cars with headlight wipers?)
  • Car Play
  • Odometer shown on drivers display
  • 12v and/or USB Power ports on/under dash
  • Rear seat outlet that doesn't face down. (Plugs fall out)
  • Traditional opening sunroof
  • Ability to add a front-mounted snowplow.
  • Upgradable CPU/Sensors. (Gen 1 owner who feels we were promised a more future-proof truck.)
  • Factory retractable running board option. (My wife is 5'2' and kneal mode isn't low enough)
  • More versatile tailgate.
  • Backseat that stows flat for more cargo space
  • Sunglasses holder for driver.
  • Real buttons for basic climate controls.
  • Glovebox.
  • Better insulation and wind noise control.
  • Better light response when opening the door, the interior lights need to go on now, not in 3-5 seconds. (Not everything in a car is better when it's computer controled...)
  • Better repairability and a real service manual.
  • More transparency about issues -- every software fix I've had has been a "rare software bug" and I don't think I'm that special.
  • Since 99% of the time it's just one or two people in the truck: A Two door extra cab/ longer bed body style.

Vehicle should not start climate every time door is opened but start it after you put foot on brake ready to drive. Save lots of energy.

Oh I finally got around to trying this, and OK, I'm a believer.

I was trying to press the grayed out 'minus' symbol, but if you just press and hold the the center of the "pill", it instantly turns off and on. And the long-press delay is minimal, too. As you said, this lets you quickly turn off the HVAC off and on to your prior settings, without having to cycle the fan speed down.
