Hello my dudes!
Quick post on this Sunday morning about something that I've been working through on an off over the last few weeks - an NACS Adapter Holder for the driver door pocket. This will use the same mounting bracket that the NextGen Aux Cupholders use, and like everything that I've made will be released as a free, open STL file for you to 3D print at little to no cost.
Current pictures - prototype 2:
There is still work to be done before this is released. Here is what is on the tic list:
Yes, I will likely be selling this as well for folks who don't have a printer. I'd suspect it will be priced inline with the other items that I sell (<$15). This hopefully will be a REALLY good model to start your 3D print journey with if you're on the fence.

There is still work to be done before this is released. Here is what is on the tic list:
- Resizing the dimensions so they more closely match the NACS connector. Right now, it's too snug. This should fit inside easily, remove without binding, and not rattle. (in progress)
- Shrinking it horizontally. (driver to passenger side) You can see that the door pocket is slight protruding - it should not. (in progress)
- Validate fitment with the Tesla and A2Z Typhoon Pro adapter. This works well with the @A2ZEV Typhoon adapter (which is really quite lovely, BTW) but it hasn't been tested with either the OEM or brand new Typhoon Pro. If you have either of these, please reach out to me as I'd love to coordinate testing with you. (upcoming)
- Investigate angling the adapter retainment plate for easier removal. Instead of pointing straight up, should it point forward or backward? (TBD)
- Investigate contouring the adapter retainment plate so it perfectly fits in the front or rear of the pocket. I'm thinking rear, maybe? (TBD)
- Tweak for strength, easy manufacturability, and cost containment.
