18” will completely block your bed camera. 19” will likely be partially obstructed but be able to see the bed.

I wonder if the front crossbar could be left off (which might unblock the camera view) for day to day use, and then installed when necessary. A single rear cross bar, coupled with the Rivian crossbars on the cab, would still allow carrying long lumber, tubing, etc.

That will prevent the top brace bars that run lengthwise with the bed from being installed as well.

I'm very impressed with the engineering and quality of the XO system.

Do you have pictures of your completed (or current) setup? I saw in the other thread it looked like you had the awning mounts on now as well.

My setup is still a work in progress… but I did briefly test mount the 3.0 mini this past weekend. Here’s a couple of perspective photos

I’ve slid the RTT to the passenger side of the rack trying to make room for the awning mount on the driver side. But I’m still tweaking that setup to avoid hitting the rigid back of the opened tent.

Looks great. The ability to make it anything you want is both a pro and a con, constantly changing things could be a problem.

On my stock cargo bars, I had to shift my tent ( bed mounted Condor XL) to the driver side by about 3.5 inches to not hit my 180 degree awning on the roof bars. I am thinking with a 19 or 20" XO rack I might be able to mount a 270 degree awning, and not need the roof bars (well maybe for the shower). Of course then it will too heavy to lift with my current garage hoist, so that will need upgraded, and so the cycle continues....

I’m on week 9 since I ordered and my hardware still hasn’t arrived. Did any of you have to wait that long? They said it would ship, “any day now” but that was weeks ago.

Mine too took while. I'm still actually waiting for correct part as they sent 3 of the wrong size bars. I ordered mine March 2nd. Bars came first then hardware about 3 weeks later...

I removed mine in about ten and a half minutes. I did it by myself, but for safety reasons, probably a two-person lift. I left the side rails on, and just unbolted the uprights from them.

Reinstall was a bit more time consuming. Getting everything lined up again took a bit of fiddling, although it wasn't hard, just slow. It took closer to 30 minutes before I had it all tightened down again.

No RTT on mine (yet?) so just removing the rack.

I bolted the RTT to the rack…then hoisted the entire assembly to garage ceiling for storage when not in use. It takes about 20-30 minutes to install or remove but the hoist allows you to do it solo.
PSA: ensure your bed rack height (with RTT mounted) will fit under the garage door header. My 18” rack with Skycamp Mini just barely fits. YMMV.
