R1S G1 Highway Assist no longer available after recent 2026.15.0

I have been using highway assist (Driver+) on my Gen1 R1S quite often past couple of months for daily commutes (CA85 and 237). After the 2026.15.0 update last week, the HWA icon no longer shows up on the same roads (regardless of time of day, even overcast days). I did a soft reset, and the icon showed up again, but within a few seconds after enabling, I get the 'take over' notification with no reasons or other messages. On subsequent drives (even after parking, and overnight), the icon never shows up again. Anyone else have this issue?

I was having the same problem. Yesterday, I did a hard reset, and so far everything is back to working like normal.

Did you try a "hard reset"? The soft reset was a waste of time because it only relates to infotainment ....

I nearly get faults every drive since that last update and now lately my auto lane change will show a red line and it says something along the lines of: "Auto lane change not allowed on this road" on basically any stretch of the freeway. It still is universal hands free and I have the subscription so safe to say something in the latest update just fucked it up for some of us.

The worst is when it turns off its fairly instant and one time it did it during a turn which... as you would imagine with hands free, is a terrible thing.

Covered in a few other threads. Check/cycle your privacy settings that were reset due to a back-end server issue.

Could you clarify where the privacy settings are that you’re referring to? I looked on one other thread and see nothing about this.

The latest OTA was the buggiest release I've seen in four years. Highway assist is completely nerfed on our R1's despite hard resets and repeatedly resetting the privacy settings.

Those settings are in the vehicle setup menu under "data and privacy". Basically they should all be turned on but they're getting turned off.

My Gen 1 R1T and Gen 2 R1S same thing driver puts doesn't engage. Hard reser done and checked the settings they are enabled.

I am seeing the same on I57 which I use daily.
