so if you cut it off and attach it to the tailgate section it will stay put and you don't have to wrry about it moving (use some 3m tape).
I think if I did that it'll overlap at the bottom. Not sure how well that would work.

My cargo liner arrived today — thanks LinerX!

The cargo liner fits great. There's a weirdness with how the back half of the liner sits when the trunk is closed. It flops over and sits on top of the bed liner. There's no way to attach it to the door because the door surface area expands when you lower the trunk door. I'm debating cutting off that section and just not worrying about it.
Looks like you could just tape the bottom half of the extra liner to the lower part of the door (edit: by "door" I mean tailgate). When the door opens the liner would open with it and cover the extension part of the door as well. When the door closes, it would stick straight up and the hatch would close into it, if that makes sense. That sounds good to me to protect it from a dog on the inside.

(Edit: I mean without cutting anything. Just let it fold upward when you close the lower cargo door.)

The only downside is getting at the spare tire area is even harder. Maybe Velcro or something instead of tape, so you can pull it up again when needed?

For R1S: Got the cargo liner a week or so ago. Rest of the car car arrived yesterday. Fit is pretty good! Much better than the Weathertech I had in my Grand Cherokee.

Photos anyone? I’ve been stalking this feed for photos before I order. Great people are finally getting them but hoping with every delivery announcement there would be photos to celebrate.

Really hoping that someone will share photos here. It seems like once people receive their products, they stop commenting as frequently in this thread

I got the rear mat for the R1S and it is pretty good, needs to lay down more but I put weights on it per the instructions to see if that works. I will use it as it has a cool way to keep the tailgate covered when down. I will switch to an OEM if they ever make one that works better than this but for the money it works to protect the back section of the R1S pretty well.

FYI, I got the OEM all weather mats with the yellow logo and they are very stout. I would buy those again.
How does the flap that covers the tailgate work when the lower tailgate is closed? Do you have to manually fold that piece up and over the cargo area? Or does it velcro to the tailgate and travel with the tailgate when opened/closed? I like the rest of the LinerX mats and will definitely get them when my R1S arrives (hopefully in Q4!!)

It’s in the SC for a few nits or I would take a photo for you. Next week. I will tell you there is no Velcro that LinerX sends you. I have bought the sliding cover (roller) to keep the stuff hidden so it holds up the flap that lays on the tailgate. Without it, it would flop forward. It is a good first try.

FYI…
Our cargo liner is foldable. You can fold the tailgate section under the upper mat when it's not being used. There's a bend in the middle that makes this pretty straightforward. You don’t have to cut it off.

@LinerX hi, my mats arrived, which are great, but my cargo mat did not. I sent an email, waiting on response.
