As others have said, this is normal. Don't use your turn signals - it will fight you. Use your turn signals - it goes over no problem. Guess if every car had this, it would at least stop so many idiot drivers who never use them. LOL. ??

I think that’s the way it’s always worked.
If you are referring to the easy lane change if you use the turn signal, I can assure you this is not how it used to work.

If you are talking about HWA automatically resuming after a lane change, it never used to do this and, as it turns out, it still doesn't...

It may have changed in a recent update, but I feel like I've always noticed less resistance breaking out of the lane assist when I use my turn signal.

that is how mine has always worked with the turn signals allowing a smooth transition. i've had my truck since the OG software.

Tried every way I could think of and none of them had HWA come back on after the lane change. So either the OP doesn't know what it is or they have a bug or hardware issue that's preventing HWA from even actually kicking off.

I'm leaning toward the former...

It actually does that...I tried it yesterday...takes you right into the new lane...give it a try!!!
No it doesn’t unless you re-engage with two tugs on the driver’s stalk. That was my complaint two months ago. It is a pain in the rear. I’ll check today if something has changed. If not I will contact Rivian to see if something is faulty. Most EVs work automatically.

What I would like to see is what Tesla has. While using Driver assist on the interstate when you want to change lanes you simply turn on the signal and if there is an opening in traffic the Tesla changes lanes without turning driver assist off. So there is no need to change lanes and then reset the Driver assist.

Latest version here and while in Driver+, using the turn signal (either single tap or fully engage) does not make the car switch lanes nor does it automatically re-engage driver+ after manually switching lanes.

When using Driver+ Highway Assist in my R1T, it would disengage if I switched lanes even with the turn signals. I have not tried it since the update. Adaptive Cruise Control didn't care but I always use the turn signals.

Any sense if this will ever get tweaked? Very inconvenient on road trips to need to keep re-engaging Driver+ on routine lane changes.
