TPMS not working after tire rotation

After performing a 5-wheel tire rotation my TPMS will no longer register with the vehicle and when put in gear a message pops up a that Tire Pressure Monitoring is not working - Service Immediately. The manual indicates that they should re-sync after driving a few miles but hasnt worked. I have also tried multiple resets which hasn't worked. I have an open support ticket and waiting to be scheduled. Anyone else run into this issue?

I did a five tire rotation myself a few weeks ago, and it did re-sync after the first drive. No error messages either.

Maybe your spare that got rotated in had a bad TPMS sensor. Just an idea.

It took about 50 miles when I did my 5 tire rotation before they showed back up.

Any resolution on this? We have had this message ever since the truck got back from service two weeks ago. It was also where the update to the latest software happened. Reset hasn’t fixed it.

I waited with my truck in the shop for three weeks while they tried to solve the issue

they never did

Tpms just drops out occasionally and fixes itself when it feels like it

Any resolution on this? We have had this message ever since the truck got back from service two weeks ago. It was also where the update to the latest software happened. Reset hasn’t fixed it.

No resolution yet. I have a SC appt scheduled for early Aug. I originally had a similar issue when they first delivered the vehicle which was resolved with a software patch. It has worked fine even through multiple software upgrades up until I rotated the tires.

My new R1T has been having intermittent TPMS trouble fault, when I look at the tire pressure screen a specific tire is not reporting, I am assuming that the sensor on that wheel is faulty.

Comes and goes on its own as well.

Please keep us updated. I've had this exact issue since I switched over from my 22 sport wheels over to my 20" AT wheels. My neighbor who is a Rivian employee was able to pull and clear the DTC codes. That didn't help. We drove for 15 minutes while connected to the diagnostic computer and the vehicle does see the TPMS sensors and shows the correct tpms sensor serial numbers, but for some reason it will not read the tire pressures. Our next move is try a hard reset, which is the disconnect of the 12v batteries. My R1S has been at the bodyshop for a month, so we haven't tried anything since I dropped it off.

I have a mobile service set for the 22nd for a bad key card... I plan on asking about the sensors then.

Keep driving it as it may take a lot of miles to register. I til then, go old school and use a gauge weekly.

In my case it was a bad sensor in the spare that needed to be replaced. It shouldn't take more than a few min for them to come back.

I have the same same warning:

The message appears briefly when vehicle wakes from sleep/shifts into gear.

Resetting the screen, restarting the vehicle and extended sleep mode does not end the warning message/icon.

However, the tire pressure screen does show accurate tire pressures and they update, as normal.

Upcoming mobile service has this info. Will post any updates.

So after months of dealing with this error message, my neighbor had to log into my Rivian, and manually enter the tpms sensor ID numbers for each new sensor into the tpms module. After completing that, a 2 minute drive and it was back to normal with nor error message. The software engineer that gave him the procedure gave no explanation, so... if you are having this issue, it will most likely require a service center visit to correct

20 miles after a tire change and same issue. Fingers crossed this resolves with more distance. Oddly it successfully updated a few times before throwing the error.
