Please tell me that there is a PPF somewhere to cover the speakers at the dashboard A-pillars so they no longer reflect on the windshield like a heads-up display on an otherwise sunny day...

With the appropriate holes in the PPF so we don't loose any of the sound, of course.

Plan-B: anyone come up with a different brilliant idea to eliminate that glare?

Thanks -

PPF won't work. PPF has glue, that attracts dirt. Need a fabric cover, stuck on with something. Perhaps a tiny clip that goes in the grill

I'm glad I'm not the only one that this annoyed. Figured something would pop up on the market eventually.

I thought PPF would be The Answer (insert rays of sun shining down from on high..).

I'm not an expert, but isn't PPF applied by wetting the surface, adjusting the PPF alignment, and squeegee-ing or letting the water backing evaporate?

In any event, my Plan B:

I remembered that I had some gray felt left over from a toolbox restore I did last year.

I stuck some thin strips of 3M two-sided tape along the straight edges of the speaker (5 pcs) grill, and laid down a cut-out.

I did this last night, and we'll see if the felt holds on for dear life with the windows open on the highway. If it does, I might go grace the aisles of my local hobby store for some black felt.

Is this a problem for those with the stainless-looking speaker grills?

Or just take it off, powder coat and re-attach.
Are the grilles separate from the speakers? I thought I read a post somewhere a few months back about how the speaker grilles and speakers were a single unit.

The pillar speakers are one piece for sure. I removed one. I glanced at the dash speaker and don't remember if it was one piece, or if the grill was just attached like the subwoofer grill. Either way you have to access it from under the dash. Unless I missed something.

Well, Rev-A: Pass, but Fail.

Pass: The felt stuck on at 65mph with the windows down.

Fail: Gray isn't such a good color!

Next, black felt or black shelf liner. I don't think my wife will ever know I "borrowed" some from the back of the fancy plate shelves....

If not for you, please find another thread to respond to, and quit wasting our time.
I'm sorry, I didn't notice where you live.

That bright thing up in the sky (eastward in the morning, westward in the evening) is called "The Sun".

When The Sun shines on things inside the cab, that brightness might reflect on the inside of the window you are looking out of.

Please see the attached photo:

Yikes, take a chill pill my dude. You wasted more of my time by adding two additional responses to his than he did with his initial response. Someone once said, " If not for you, please find another thread to respond to, and quit wasting our time."
