2023.46 Map Annoyance

Anybody else having issues with their map display since updating to 2023.46? I use the map as my default display as 2D, North Up. Now every time I need to go to a different setting page (radio, cameras, etc.) the map reverts to 3D, egocentric view. Prior to 2023.46, I only had to change that view once - on delivery day. My map settings also still show 2D North Up as my default.

Not a huge problem, but definitely inconvenient when it happens while driving. Figure it's worth asking if other have experienced this - maybe a fix can be included in an incremental update.

Seems like this sort of thing is common in their interface. Still on 42.2, but since the gauge view came out the trip meter likes to reset constantly. I prefer to see avg mi/kWh and total kWh vs the default the guage loads with of avg speed and elapsed drive time. I have to constantly tap the damn thing to get it to show efficiency...super annoying.

People always look at me weird for only liking 2d north-up. I am glad to know I am not alone. I think it’s for people that are very directionally aware. We like a consistent layout. Not a turning map every move you make.

Same issue. Started with latest update. I've found If you leave it alone, the map it will switch back to your preference after a few minutes (which isn't ok, just weirder).

I could start a whole separate thread about the superiority of 2D North Up maps. Allocentric navigation is the best way to navigate.

Well that's not ideal, but It's a heck of a lot better than having to manually change it back all the time. Thanks for the tip! Hopefully they release a bug fix for this and a few other issues people have reported with this update.

Same issue for me. 2DNU is the only way I’ll use the map, and this new view confuses me. Fortunately it corrects itself pretty quickly. I’m hoping a fix is forthcoming.

2 Dimensional North Up. I start tilting my head all funky if it isn't North Up

whoops... should have read this before I updated! Another 2DNU (great acronym) ... drives the wife crazy but it's so much more logical... plus we already have the 'vehicle facing' view in the instrument panel.

I noticed the same thing on Saturday, and I hope they fix it soon. Like zeezz said, it drives the wife crazy, but the other presentations drive ME crazy.
