Noticed this as well. It also seems inconsistent. Backing up to a trailer on .42 seemed better than .46, perhaps due to the hold issues addressed on 46.1… but I would love to get more control in reverse and consistent response when backing up.
They can however increase a bit of extra "slip" via torque vectoring to "oversteer" a bit more in the direction you're trying to go. I believe a while back they had a patent or something for an improved K-turn? This may be the implementation of that or at least some variant?
BMW has pushed maybe 3-4 updates OTA and many improvements. But the car had a lot of great features from day one. But recently they improved routing in nav significantly, helping plan all the stops at dc chargers better than before. And they added widgets to their app in one of the early updates, many minor bug fixes, I do recall some significant improvements to their drive assist function which is really good already. But they don’t have Netflix or YouTube however I have external android device that enables all that on the main bmw screen so isn’t a big deal. Would like if Rivian updates their OS for YouTube and Netflix, but for now have that CarPlay thing from one of the vendors who announced it recently
Maybe, but I would have expected some notes about off-road nature of the improvement for that.

The update notes don't seem like the improvements are off-road only, you are correct, but the K-turn seems like it would be (the patent talks about 'soft surfaces'). That's why I don't think this update is talking about the K-turn.
That's why I said perhaps some variant, or just maybe just a little additional slip via torque-vectoring - wasn't trying to say it literally IS the K-turn patent, just perhaps inspired by their research into it
