My R1T works exactly the same.. it was 43F this afternoon, I set the "heat" at 70 and it blew cold air out the vents and the airflow icons were blue snowflakes. I then bumped it up to 72 and the icons instantly turned to red waves and heat came out the vents. The temp control adjustment is not a thermostat.. it's a switch which produces A/C when set below 72 and heat when set to 72 or higher regardless of outdoor temps. I can't believe it was designed to work this way completely ignoring outside temps.Yeah same. 71.5 is the precipice between heaven and hell apparently. 71 = cold / 72 = heat. Regardless of outside temp, my mood, or position of celestial bodies.
