Anybody else experiencing a preconditioning issue where the truck will start to run the AC after you finish your commute rather than warming up the truck before the scheduled time to drive in the app? I came out from a day at work to my battery more depleted than expected and a super toasty truck because it was heating it all day.... Has happened a few times now. My commute is about an hour.
Is this preconditioning supposed to work like the Tesla where you set the time and it will precondition prior to that time so that it is warm at the time set?
Or should I be setting the time 15 to 30 minutes prior to when I'm actually departing? Thanks everyone and let me know if you're having the same issue where it will wake your vehicle and start heating after your commute is over LOL

WIth the latest software update (at least the iPhone app) you can schedule when your car will start preconditioning. I would check the app to see if it is set to a time already.

I leave on Mondays to drive to work around 3:15 am. I have it set to precondition starting around 2:45 am. Of course, this is only for the winter....spring, summer, and fall I will shut it off.

As best as I can tell, it does not offer the ability to set the time that the climate preconditioning actually starts. On my app, it says, “Set a time to have your cabin ready.” Who knows how long prior to that time the preconditioning actually starts? 15 minutes, 1/2 hour, an hour before- who knows? I think I would almost prefer to pick an actual start time, as opposed to a ready time.

It's kinda weird that the AC kicks in after your drive. Have you checked if there's a software update available? Review your app settings and see if there are any specific options related to preconditioning timing. Also, watch your battery levels during and after preconditioning. If they drop unexpectedly, there might be a bigger problem going on.

Time it for when you plan to get into the car, not when you want it to start.

You aren't crossing time zones going to work are you? Sorta wonder how the truck would handle that.

Pretty sure this is incorrect. You are supposed to program the time you want to drive off, and the truck will automatically pick a time before that (~30 mins) to start the pre-conditioning process.

I mistyped. When I said "Pick your time to pre-condition" I meant the time I leave. I leave at the same time every Monday (like clockwork) so I set my DEPARTURE time for 3:15 am and it will calculate when it needs to start.

I am just glad it is an option now. This is the same thing for our Rav4 Prime.
