Thank You!Just grounded it to metal.
More than power, I haven't bothered yet because I haven't figured out how to go about mounting an antenna.I'm planning on installing a 50 watt HAM radio and am trying to decide if I have to go through the firewall and direct to the 12V battery or if I can get away with tapping into the fuse box. Does anyone have an opinion/recommendation on a fuse to tap into from the passenger or drivers side box? Thanks to everyone who has put this info together.
I haven't fond a good option for the antenna either. For now I'm planning on running the cable out the top of the rear door and placing a magnetic antenna in the middle of the metal portion of the roof between the two panes of glass.More than power, I haven't bothered yet because I haven't figured out how to go about mounting an antenna.
Looks like the R1T and R1S share the same fuse panels, with that in mind.. check out the R1T passenger side fuse panel below and the circuit description key below that.I see a bunch of posts about hitting the driver's panel for fuses that go to sleep/switched. Any on the passenger side that also are switched?
Guess you'll just have to pull them one at a time and see what happens.Has anyone been able to find the Emergency Communication Module or Communication Unit? Trying to disable eSim and external communication.
I might ask them and say I'm gonna start yanking either way. They can tell me or schedule me for a bricked truck, their choice.Guess you'll just have to pull them one at a time and see what happens.
Please be sure to document results each time you pull a fuse ?
JK... but with Rivian's refusal to release info on it's circuits, it may just come to that.
IIDK how far up the food chain you'll have to go to get that info, but knowing Rivian.. even the SC's don't have that infoI might ask them and say I'm gonna start yanking either way. They can tell me or schedule me for a bricked truck, their choice.
To hopefully abate some of the questions I know will likely come from posting this information:
- I do not yet know what all of the signal names are for - there's still a lot here to learn and discover, but please don't hammer me with questions about signal names
- I have not verified all of this information yet, but the five or so fuses I have examined on the passenger's side seem to match the data provided above 100%
- Rivian did not want you to have this information and you should take every opportunity to crap on Rivian for not providing this data in the first place, like every other car manufacturer on the planet.
