I only use the card when dropping the car off for service. Otherwise it's 99.9% PAAK. But, I have been looking for things to spruce up my Sundays. Thanks for sharing.

Not everyone has an apple watch or in that eco system, but I get your point. I think a ring would be much more practical for most. Why not just use shortcuts on your Apple Watch? Or wait for that beta rivian Apple Watch app to go public? Who wants to hold their wrist so awkwardly against the handle?
I was told by CS when I tried to activate a resold keycard (which had been turned into a ring) that they won’t activate keycards unless you buy from them. Shit policy. All listings I’ve seen ask outrageous prices. One joker wanted $700. Plus, there were some posts a few months ago about change in Rivian’s policy, citing security concerns.
The NFC chip in the card/band always works. Shortcuts and the beta G1 watch app will both fail if Rivian’s PAAK system goes down again. Why not just use shortcuts on your Apple Watch? Just duct tape one of your cards to oneNot a fan of wearing more jewelry… but belt buckle?![]()

CNICK makes rings and bracelets for Tesla and, in Europe, have NFC rings for payments. Hopefully, they'll work on a ring for Rivian.
I came across this today.
I had not seen it come through here yet, and didn't see anything in search.
In the video they soak our Key Card in Acetone to extract the chip.
Then, you can then put that chip in anything.
They put it in their watch band.
Not sure what I would do with it, but I found the information interesting.
Thanks for sharing Luke. not sure if you're on here or not.
Who will be the first here to extract the chip and do a subdermal implant along with the Rivian logo?

This is actually very practical. Definitely nothing new as Tesla has all kinds of accessories with their chip in it. I have the Tesla ring and it has come in handy many times. When they make a ring for Rivian, I'll definitely get one.
They already do. rivianring.comCNICK makes rings and bracelets for Tesla and, in Europe, have NFC rings for payments. Hopefully, they'll work on a ring for Rivian.
How many will complain that lowest height isn’t low enough though… ?Pelvic thrusting will abound...
Man... back when I needed to get replacement cards, they were $50 each and $50 for programming. I bought my truck used and it didn't come with any keycards, so that was an unexpected expense right off the bat.I paid $30 for the card $40 for programming back in March.
