Watched Furiosa this weekend, and despite it robbing me of any ability to sleep that night, it did inspire me to wash my truck.

Meguiar's Gold Class shampoo, Klasse all-in-one polish, Klasse sealant glaze, and Car Guys hybrid wax. Not a permanent solution, but should get me 2 weeks at a time with a respray for 6 months until I need to do it again.

Came out pretty nice. Truck is Rivian Blue, btw.

I might have to look into getting what you used. We have the blue R1T as well. We live off a dirst road in the counrty, she only gets washed 3 ro 4 times a year. It would be nice to put this stuff on and then hose her off occassionally.

Mike-love it when people take pride & joy in their cars no matter how much it costs. I saw a civic that was spotless and waxed to perfection the other day and smiled. I think I'm ocd. Great looking truck! Well done on the detailing. I've gotten lazy lately and use Griot's twice a year. That way I just have to wash it and spray with Meguires quick detail once a month. Cheers.

The part I left out is that our i3 was filthy, and I told my wife that I simply couldn't abide having her filthy car next to my very-clean R1T, and that one of us was washing that thing.

So that's how I ended up detailing an i3 on Saturday, too.

I tried that stuff and got mixed results. Maybe worth another shot - worked fine on the other bmw but a fail on the tundra. No idea what went wrong. Probably me. lol

What happened?

Prep is EVERYTHING. I spent much more time on cleaning than applying. I used a number of products. In contrast my neighbor did a 30 minute little cleaning and applied it. While it's working, it also shows defects. And he wonders why.
