Key Cards No Longer Unlock my R1S

After working flawlessly since I acquired my R1S a year ago (albeit slower than I would prefer), my key cards no longer open the car. I held it by the handle for over a minute, and still no unlock.

Has anyone else experienced this, or something like it and solved the problem? Past updates have caused the vehicle to react slower, but they all worked eventually.

Last time I had mine at a valet, the valet couldn't get the car unlocked to get my car, I assumed he didn't place it properly. But it seems to be an issue, at least for mine.

Do you get the chime from them activating inside on the driver's door?

Both keycards or just 1? Either the key card is damage or the reader on the door stopped working.
I have 4 cards and none of them will open the outer door.

Would a reset for the vehicle potentially work? I feel like the guy asking computer questions before rebooting the machine.

I haven't tried that yet - I have never heard the chime.

Tested all of the cards, none open the outer door, but all trigger the chime when I place them on the spot inside the door.

I rebooted the car (not just the infotainment system) and still no luck. If anyone else has had any experience with this issue, please let me know, I will report out to all once we figure out the root cause of the issue.

Likely means a new door handle is in your future.

The wrong keys just get silently ignored by the vehicle at both readers.

Yes, found out the hard way when my wallet, keycard and fob+house keys were all lost off the back of the truck this summer. Luckily all were recovered but I'd already canceled all the cards by that point. I had one extra keycard but after a bunch of troubleshooting support figured out that my card reader had stopped working. Mobile tech replaced it last month but then that one wasn't properly registering either so awaiting a SC appointment sometime in the next couple of months to get that fixed.

Maybe they will say screw it and replace the car with a new Gen 2 R1S - not likely? :)
