Anyone else's drivecam not actually recording your trip automatically?

I get recordings when I press the eyeball button and when I honk, but nothing else.

I will say that at least with this update, the Samsung T7 continues to be detected and the other port that's charging my phone hasn't randomly shut off.

Question for the braintrust... I will be away from home over the next week, but the truck will be on wifi where we are going, just a different house. When the update is ready for me, does it matter that I'm not at "home" to get the update, that I'm in a different location?

It shouldn’t matter. A reliable wifi connection is probably a good idea if anything.

Yep in the last few weeks went back thru confirmed it is setup and reformatted the drive same issue.

Anyone having issues with the climate settings on this release? 60 out and have the car set to 73 and it's blowing cold air on us

I was taking a small trip today so I charged to 100% overnight. It also did the update before the charge schedule. Trip went fine. I went to take the garbage to the road tonight and I heard a very loud static sound, as if it was off-station. Radio was not on, worked perfectly, bluetooth not connected, tried phone music and it was fine, volume and station buttons had no effect on the noise. Did a software reset with no effect. Did a total reset and again no effect on noise. Locked the car and came back later to open it up - had the same noise which seems to be emanating from behind the center screen. I am assuming has something to do with the update since nothing else has changed. Any thoughts ???????

I'm a relatively new owner (June) and have only two updates worth of history at this point, but 2024.35.0 seems to be causing more issues than usual. This may be more apparent than real, and is based solely on the responses in this thread but still, I'm thinking I should put off installing this one, at least for a few more days.

Prudent or overly cautious?

Your call but just for another view point. It installed fine on my early R1S (vin 1663), installed 9/26 and having no issues.

So far this update seems to have fixed Apple music issues with not playing, UI content not loading, freezing and volume in my Gen1 R1T Meridian system.

It does seem better in that respect but Apple Music still doesn't start up automatically when getting in the truck. Would be nice if that got fixed too.

Well, so far so good here. 2024.35 seems to have fixed the problem with my DriveCam not recording (and the system not recognizing that the drive was plugged in), a Gen2 issue. I haven’t confirmed (by looking at the recordings) but all indications are good.

And the remote camera access is kind of cool. Not sure if I’ll use it as more than a novelty feature but, hey….
