I'm just glad that he acknowledged that his last video overly fixated on one very specific spec that happened to be important to him (low SOC DCFC rate) and that unfairly colored the view of the entire vehicle. When he said the 10-15% fast charge rate was "the single most important spec for an electric vehicle buyer," I rolled my eyes because that completely negated anything credible he had to say.

Does everyone else remember when he got a R1T at a discount even though he didn't have preorder and jumped to the front of the line because he's got a Youtube channel? I remember. That's a sponsorship any way you look at it and it should have been disclosed every time he made a Rivian video. Don't accept gifts from the companies whose products you review and if you do, the least you can do is disclose you're a paid sponsor. Maybe he's looking for a new discount?

Somebody on this forum said something to the effect he was single handedly responsible for Rivian make significant improvements to the vehicle. That is eye roll worthy. ?

Got to give him some credit. Certainly not single handedly, but his videos push Rivian to improve their product and we benefit.
