Probably one or the other of the connectors was slightly out of spec, causing a poor connection. USB-C, being reversible, gives you two bites at the apple - two chances to make a proper connection. That's my theory.

I’d love to setup an install day with @gerrylum and @LL75 once we all get our items.

I was looking at a beartech magnetic mount but they’re all out of stock waiting for a new revision.

I bought the beartech mount a month ago from Etsy. I think Gerry has a different magnetic mount that he ordered directly from a guy from Discord.

I would love to check out both of your mounts so I can decide what works best for my usage along with where I will have the radar placed.

I just got a Uniden mount for the rear view mirror trim from @PurseChicken and would like to use that and the magnetic comma mount to come up with a clean setup.

For those who use the Mirror Tap, would you be interested in a mount like this so that you don't have to attach to the windshield? I normally would go with the blendmount route, but it seems like its a crapshoot if one will actually fit and allow the rear view mirror to be adjusted.

Edit: The below setup and mount design belongs to @PurseChicken. I am looking to incorporate this mount into my setup along with the comma 3x and then eventually a nice clean phone mount.

Absolutely. Is that uniden mount magnetic ? Hopefully , my comma is shipping soon so we can have an installation party

I have the exact setup (Chun mount plus the magnetic USB connection Gerry recommended)
When Comma is not installed, you can actually rest the magnetic USB connector (of the second USB cable) inside the Chun mount, it will stay there due to magnetic attraction.

Here is what Blake has set up currently if you don't want to Discord. He also said he's working on a dedicated website, but doesn't have that ready quite yet.
