I hear you, tech does move and change fast. With EVs such software driven platforms that has accelerated dramatically in the automotive space. That being said, I'm kinda glad I sold my Gen1. Looking forward to the R3X.

R1T, XC40 Recharge, CTS-V2, Triumph TR6.
Front bench seat in the R1T, 800 V charging with 350 kW+ max, real 400 mile range at 75 mph, Meridian or equal stereo (CarPlay would be a bonus) and I would upgrade today...
R1S also needs 2nd row bucket seats. The Scout has a lot of this, but other aspects aren't as good as my G1 R1T.

Even better… we have a Gen 1 R1T and R1S! However, since a kid went off to college 2000+ miles away in a place unpractical to park a car and doesn’t want to drive a large vehicle when home, we will sell the R1T next month. We will keep her small car and then… I can get a sports car! (and keep the race car)

I want Gen 800V & 350kW charge rate.
Maybe when there are reliable charging stations that can handle that, sure. But, these 800V architecture vehicles with native NACS make little sense today.

+maybe I'm in the majority, but public charge speed as they are today are fine for my needs, would faster be better, yes... but I maybe fast charge 3 times a year saving 15 minutes each charge doesn't change my life at all. People who buy EVs and need public charging, bought the wrong tech IMHO.

Actual door handles on the inside and Meridian sound FTW
Honestly, when my lease is up, I'm strongly considering finding another G1 to buy. I think I got a lemon, but really like the brand and product. Those two features are at the top of the list for why.
