I took my 2025 R1t in for service today for the headlamp recall and to check out my right rear sensor. I was informed by the technician that because of my running boards they would have to charge me to remove them in order to lift up the vehicle and access the sensor. Apparently their pucks interfere with the running boards. He said a longer puck would work but they don't have them.

Looking for taller pucks that I could lend them the next time I bring the truck in for service.

TIA.

jackpucks.com has different size jack pucks that you can buy.

Megawatt, jackpucks.com or EV Sportline. Pick your poison. All variations of the same idea.

Note, rear suspension has more droop once lifted and require more lift height to get tire clear of ground. You can achieve it by:
  • Using a jack with more max lift height
  • Or, stacking standard sized pucks (not ideal, potentially unstable)
  • Or, add jack pads or hard lumber/masonry under the jack
  • Or, use a jack saddle extension (see safejacks.com for examples)
  • Or, use a extra long puck—which both jackpucks.com and EV Sportline offer

You should say what running boards you have so people can give experience with that specific brand.

The original Jack pucks are great. They sell the tall ones but they're expensive:
https://jackpucks.com/products/new-xl-magnetic-jack-puck-for-rivian-r1t-r1s?variant=50460261777722

Also, if Rivian service needs them, do they need 4 of them to lift the truck? That's a lot of money and trouble to put on you...

Some Rivian service centers have zero trouble with running boards. I have the EVSportline running boards, as well as their aluminum aero covers, and my truck has been in for service 3-4 times on the lift, my local service center has never once mentioned the running boards as issues.

Good luck!

Megawatt pucks say theirs are taller than competitors. But since that statement was made, jackpucks.com introduced v2 of theirs. Do not know if statement remains true. Check with each site. I think issue with Service is twofold. 1) their pucks are larger in diameter (too large for mounting brackets of most sliders/runners). 2) Some locations choose not to deal with anything that isn’t factory-stock (following corporate legal guidance to the fullest). OP’s at least didn’t flat out say "no service". Some do.
