A "deep in the weeds" question. Let's say one has invested a lot of money in 20" rims and snow tires for their Gen 1 R1S. Will these fit on the R2? Bolt pattern, offset?
Thanks.
Highly doubt it. Even if the rims fit, I doubt the tires would. The R2 is on 32” tires. R1 20” AT tires are 34”

Yep. That's what I suspected.

Rivian’s crossbars work on the roof for both R1 and R2
R2 will use an updated crossbar, not the same as R1 - they look very similar, but they are not the same :like:

I thought I had seen or heard that the crossbars would fit. We will see but thanks for the response.

I asked my Rivian contacts today, they confirmed R2 crossbars are new. I’d hold from buying R1 crossbars hoping they fit R2, to be safe.

If that's true, that's not great for customers who own an R1 and have crossbars and were hoping to swap between the two.

EV Sportline thinking about making running boards for the R2? Not sure if theyre needed based on the current ride height and how hard it is to get in and out.

We have a full portfolio of products, upgrades and accessories planned for R2 👍🏼

Doug Demuro's preview video shows it is 2400W, 20A. I'd assume its 2400W shared between the two outlets.

I hate to ask a question that's probably already been asked a million times, but any word if this will work on R1's?

Ideally I'd love to see one with a 14-50 outlet (or even something like a TT-30R, if the vehicle can't output 240v), but this would be a good start. 😉

It probably doesn't have enough juice for a 14-50, but i think it's probably also more to have power externally, for the roof camper, or external 120v devices (like burners, coffee pots, etc) without having to run a cord through the back window or door, or leave them open/unlocked overnight

A2Z has a J1772 V2L adapter that should work on the older R1 models WHEN they allow bi-directional flow through the charging port. It only has 1 outlet but is 20A and, at $82, seems like a steal. I'm sure they'll let us know if and when it's compatible with the older Rivians. They also have a NACS V2L adapter for $114 that, again, MAY be compatible with the R2 and/or newer R1's with the NACS port.

We just have to wait and see. I'm hoping for a software update that gives another option on the charging screen to output to the charging port.

What's the length of the sleeping setup? Both the supported section and the "hanging" section?
