My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
I kicked off the update about an hour ago, and it was hung up (in the app) at ”In progress … 0%” for the first 30 minutes. Went out to the truck, and the stack display had kicked back to the initiation screen, so I re-initiated the update. 30 minutes later, ”In progress … 0%”.

Went back to the truck, display was black. Tapped it - still black. Then suddenly app updates to “In progress … 8%”. Then the app flashes a few times showing different lock/unlock state.

Going to be an amusing/terrifying few hours until the update completes.

Bummer it seems there are more stories of issues with this one. I got the notification overnight, started it this morning and it was done in about an hour.

Not on this update (hasn't been pushed to me yet), but there was another update where the progress bar for me was stuck somewhere very low, but then it finished in roughly the estimated amount of time. So don't get hung up on the status bar necessarily.

That’s fair. I’m not super worried about the status bar being accurate, but the fact that the update seems to have crashed and I had to manually reinitiate … <insert fear noises>

Staying tuned. I’m optimistic it will complete, and when it does, to be again impressed by the feature content.

Honestly it’s best to just start the update on the app and go do something else for the next 80 mins to 2 hours and not go near the truck. Mine was at preparing 0% for a while before jumping to 8% and continuing. Ended up finishing right around the 80 min mark with no issues and key fob update went through fine as well.

I had the same experience recently. They are sending out a mobile tech to fix it...

Ok - update complete! Looks like I’ve gained a little range (360 in conserve now), which is awesome and expected per update notes and other reports. Need to go for a quick drive to see how the steering feel has changed. Wondering if they snuck in any off-brake changes to the Hold function (I hope so). Need to update the key fob still - will report back on that one later.

250 at 62%? That would be over 400 miles at full...which is crazy

I think 250 was a mistake In the last update. That’s 403 miles at 100% and not possible.
I’m telling you what I had. No interest in making things up. Not sure what your comment means

He's saying that while the GoM likely did say 250 miles @62%, it was a software error to report that range. He was not calling you a liar, just pointing out that range was due to a glitch, and your current range estimate is more accurate.

250 @ 82% maybe...
I'm sure what he said is what the truck said. Look at older threads, I have personally seen nearly 400 miles indicated @70% on my truck, and posted photos as well. There were glitches, and appears to still be a few.

I had to do it for the last update. I think if there is something that interrupts the sleep cycle it cancels it. Just a guess though.
