I haven't gotten it either but it just started rolling out last night. Like all the updates they roll out to the vehicles rather than hitting them all at once. Not available in my truck or on iphone app
Admin really needs to start pinning something at the top of these posts, but they're too busy changing my titles.I haven't gotten it either but it just started rolling out last night. Like all the updates they roll out to the vehicles rather than hitting them all at once.
"good enough" yes, but I would highly recommend a 2TB drive. You don't want a situation where you run out of space all of the time and potentially miss something. I would spend the extra money personally. Is 256gb enough for the dash cam or should I get something bigger? It needs to be usb-c interface right?
Do we actually know yet if it will use the space? I believe Tesla's dash cam just loops after an hour and overwrites the old data, so a larger drive is a waste for dash cam storage."good enough" yes, but I would highly recommend a 2TB drive. I am thinking dash cam and gear guard. For $50 extra or something, I prefer to err on the side of caution.Do we actually know yet if it will use the space? I believe Tesla's dash cam just loops after an hour and overwrites the old data, so a larger drive is a waste for dash cam storage.
Yes, anything over 128GB is sufficient. Yes, you need USB C.Is 256gb enough for the dash cam or should I get something bigger? It needs to be usb-c interface right?
Why the latter? hard drive space issues? I would record the whole driving sessions.Trying to decide if I want to record full driving sessions, or set it up with the 2 minute clips that are triggered by hard braking or an accident.
Probably the latter, but then I'll be pissed when I don't record the meteor explosion or other weird event that I'm absolutely sure will happen when I'm not recording.
It's not just the space, more and longer videos require much more CPU/GPU processing and it might slow down the onboard computer. Why the latter? hard drive space issues? I would record the whole driving sessions.
