This was honestly the fastest I've ever received an update. Usually I am waiting 2-3 weeks, but this one hit my R1T in only a couple of days.

Sometimes settings get reset during an update. Check and make sure the setting didn't actually get changed.
Yes. Good practice to double check your gearguard settings. Mine frequently and mysteriously will be tuned off at home (due to a reset of preferences I’ve assumed)

Loving the new app launcher already. Seems like they may have changed the sensitivity of the auto day/night feature for the displays...mine stayed in night mode after I pulled out of the garage this morning and I thought it was kinda weird, though it was overcast. I also had two egregious phantom braking events this morning that I captured logs for.

The release notes called out a fix for volume randomly getting lower, but I found one that they didn't fix. If you hit the horn and it activates the incident/drive cam 2 min timer, then hit the button on the screen to stop the video...the volume drops and you have to raise it again. I've been driving with the windows open lately so the volume was up around 21 and when turning off the recording video it drops to 15 or 18...every time. Very annoying and repeatable.

A few have asked on here for a Screen Cleaning Mode Hack: When I clean the interior and the screens, I enable Camp Mode, then turn the displays off. This does the trick, and is also helpful in that the AC doesn't run while I'm cleaning.

This does not disable the touch screen functionality, so it is possible to manipulate items without being able to see them. We would like a mode similar to this that also disables the touchscreen.

I'm just very strategic about cleaning the screen.

For screen cleaning.. put the vehicle in "shipping mode", exit.. let it go to sleep. Open it up later and hop in with your cleaning cloth in hand.. you'll have a good 20 seconds of black screen that has no touch input.

This is awesome! I will try next time. Now I just jump in and go fast, and it usually beats me and I start making unintended changes I then don't know what I did.

Got mine in the middle of the night but my app is incapable of waking the truck. Updating now
I had this not being able to wake truck issue after my TCM was replaced. Complained to SC and they said they would “talk to the cloud team”. Thought it was BS but a few days later waking from app started working and has been since. Might be worth a shot.

I've been on I believe 4 different software versions now, and I've had some sort of bug where the "Gear Guard Motion Cam" periodically disables itself without any notice (usually not directly at the time of an update, just at random times every ~2ish weeks or so).

The hotspot setting also automatically disables itself (without notice) every few days as well, but I wouldn't be surprised if that one is intentional to limit data draw while Rivian is footing the bill for LTE.

To clean the screen I simply take a cleaning cloth, fold it over a few times, and clean the screen. A couple layers of fabric and not using unnecessary pressure does the trick regarding the touch screen. Never had an issue doing this with Rivian or my previous Mach E.

Just got my first (seemingly) random alarm.
