I did the same but eventually said effit.... Installed the update a couple of days ago 42.1 (version after it was pulled and posted again but with a different hash). So far I haven't seen anything or experienced anything abnormal. Electrafi shows multiple installs also for the past few days. Results may vary but I can attest it was good with mine. R1S 26XXX vin.
Ha! I did the same. PAAK doesn’t seem much better than before but I do like the lock-only feature at home.

I have to take back everything that I said about PaaK with this update. After updating the very first time, I used my phone, it took close to 15 seconds and I stood there like an idiot waiting for things to open. Since then my phone key has been absolutely flawless and it’s generally opening the vehicle about 2 to 3 feet earlier than it was previously. This is by far away the best it’s ever been.
This update was awesome. It fixed my window operation and my automatic seat/mirror positioning and my proximity unlocking. I’m not sure what else.

The lock only feature at home seems to be excessively draining the battery per reports. I don’t think the car is sleeping, so I am going to turn mine off for the time being and see if it makes a difference.

Mine will sleep at home, for the most part. But the extra sensitivity to support the PaaK enhancement away from home is going haywire at the office for me. The top sleep bar is at the office and is constantly waking/sleeping because the truck is "too close" to my desk...which is still probably 75-100 ft away and through several walls. The bottom is at home, which is in the garage, but also almost always plugged in and I have Lock Only enabled.

Seems to have been better for me. Anecdotal but for the past few instances, I never had to pull out my phone and the car just opened up whereas previously, I had to sometimes pull out the phone or in some instances even unlock and open the rivian app.

https://electrafi.com

It's a derivative of TeslaFi which has been around for years now. It tracks a ton of data including location that if you're the tinfoil hat type you won't like it, but I love data...soooo. Efficiency and charging data is the big reason I like it so far. On the off-chance you or someone else sees it and wants to join, here's a referral code: https://www.electrafi.com/signupRivian.php?referred=zefram47

They seem to only hit the Rivian API rather than polling the vehicle directly, so this service isn't contributing to keeping the truck awake. Prior to the 2023.42 update I wasn't seeing this behavior either. If you do use it, I'd recommend creating a new user with Rivian that's authorized on the truck rather than using your primary.

Yup, I think mine is downloading now. Kind of late in the night though, I guess I'll wait until the wife is home tomorrow night and by then some others will have installed.

Installing now. Wish me luck guys!
OK so... Update installed successfully! However, it could just be a freak coincidence, but now that I have update 2023.46 installed, my tailgate latches seem to not want to work properly ?‍♂ After calling support and doing a vehicle reset, it really doesn't want to work.

I held the tailgate closed, and pressed the button. Doing so made the latches unlock and relock. At that point, one of them seems to be grabbing, the other one is not grabbing ?

As far as the new Driver+ features go, it works wonders!
  • New lane change visualizations
  • The steering wheel BARELY resists a lane change now (used to need to forcefully disengage, but now it holds it just enough to keep your lane until you actually start to move over)
  • Driver+ will not reengage until you've slowed into the middle of your desired lane, which means that you can merge 4 lanes in one motion, and it won't reengage until you've slowed into the middle of the 4th lane.

I'll see about uploading some video.
