Hi everyone,

Wanted to see if anyone has had this issue before. I did search on the forums and saw slightly similar issues, but nothing that was exactly like mine. My, new to me, R1T just started acting weird. On Sunday the screens stopped working. Figured that wasn't a big issue and would just do a soft reset of the infotainment system. Well the soft reset didn't work. I performed a hard reset, which also didn't work. Called Rivian and they advised that I should let it go to sleep and try the sleep reset. "Performed" the sleep reset 4 times yesterday throughout the day and that didn't work.

The truck can still drive, but both screens do not work. The center screen looks like its stuck in a boot loop. It goes black, flashes Rivian then back to black. Does this over and over again. The dash screen will show me PRNDL and then my speed, but nothing else. The even weirder thing, if I put the truck in reverse the center screen will show the backup camera, but once I go into drive the front camera doesn't show and then the screen goes back into the boot loop.

Waiting for a call back from Rivian, but they are saying the vehicle will need to be towed to the nearest SC (2.5 hours way) since I performed all 3 resets and nothing fixed the issue. Has anyone had this happen before and potentially have a fix I can try? Not looking forward to losing my truck for a few days/weeks and having an enterprise rental.

I believe I read of one other person who had this happen and it was after a software update. Rivian was able to send mobile service to correct the issue. My assumption is that the mobile service tech manually initiated, a reinstallation of the software.

I was thinking the same thing, but Rivian thinks otherwise. They are sending a tow truck (deemed the truck not safe to drive).

However, I did just ask support about trying to reinstall the most recent software update. Hopefully that will avoid the need for a tow and service visit.

Update: Asked Rivian about retrying the software update to fix the issue and they gave me a call. They ran some diagnostic testing remotely and can see that my AXM module has failed and needs to be replaced. Will be in the shop for 3-7 business days.

I had the same issue, where the screens restarts on their own randomly - the truck still runs and drives but for 30 secs or so until the restart is completed, I'm driving with blank screens.

It stopped happening since the most recent update.

I reported it to the SC but they said unless I have recorded the exact date and time each time it happened, they can't do much.
