Yeah, we’re saying the same thing. There is actually no technical reason for the warning, just worried lawyers (and it’s technically inaccurate because Ford’s is “not a Rivian’s” & is actually the same). And I agree, assuming only a reputable product in good condition is used (which is true of most things). Even a damaged official Tesla made one could cause damage.

Used last Friday. The manual lock is the one weak point. Everything else is A+. Easiest charging time after I figured out the manual lock.

I put a screw driver to help with pushing the lock switch.

First time I used it the button was hard to push to lock but I think the Tesla cord was just hard to get seated. I plugged it into the adapter and removed it a few times and after that it seems to work well.

Interested in hearing updated lead times as well. I'm a few days after the 20th, but it seems like shipments are coming more often.

Definitely not strictly true. If it was, then folks that ordered on 3/18 wouldn't have received their order prior to my 3/11 order even leaving their warehouse. Mine is supposed to arrive on 4/10...but that's too late for an eclipse chasing trip where having the adapter would've allowed me to get to a more rural area than I can relying on CCS alone.

I was not "that" kid in school. But I did get some fantastic photos of the 2017 eclipse and am currently in Mt. Vernon, IL to try again with this one.

I'm back successfully charging with the same adapter on my R1S and without driving over a curb. Plug and play worked perfect but earlier today I had to initiate the charge from the Rivian app.

I will say getting the adapter to lock has been tricky. Will try to plug and unplug a few times to see if that helps.

From forum updates looks like they’re shipping out orders from March 18 right now.

As a space nut, it's hard not to be in awe at the raw power of our sun. My buddy and his girlfriend left Vancouver for Texas the other day just to see it.

Interesting. Mine works great without any effort. I was ready for it to be a pain from some of the videos.

Played with the switch more and it now snaps to lock and unlock, previously it felt more like a slide with no set points. Guessing the switch needed to get loosened up?

I was a March 18 order and needed it for an upcoming trip, still no shipping notice for me. Others on March 18 have gotten shipping notices. Not sure why there is variability in the shipping time for people that ordered at the same time, but I am now replanning my trip assuming I won’t have it in time. I reached out last week and was told it would be shipping last week. I see R1 EVY ordered on the same day as I did and is expecting arrival in two days. I guess I am out of luck for this weekend’s trip.

Just for a data point…I ordered on 3/16 at 11:45 pm (it was the Saturday night the superchargers were turned on for testing) and I just got shipping notice this afternoon.
