I'm hoping Tesla converts / opens up (whatever they need to do), more superchargers in Colorado by the time we get access. On their map today, looking at those open to NACS and other EVs, none of the 3 SCs between Denver and Edwards are available. And none of the 5 South on I-25 after Centennial all the way to the NM line.
Yeah, a trip I take about once a year has many Superchargers along the route - but all the ones on a stretch of road mostly devoid of other chargers are still non-NACS.

I don’t disagree with you at all. A growing number of people do love to whine about anything and everything.

Something we should always remember is that all of us Rivian owners are part of the grand experiment as early adopters of new EV-only automakers who are disrupting the industry with first to market concepts/ideas in what is a VERY conservative/staid auto industry. Will they make mistakes, sometimes. Will they be perfect, no. But, will we be assured of cutting edge new tech and innovative/fearless test-and-learn… absolutely. I love 99% of my Rivian - more than any other car that I’ve owned and I don’t mind calling out the cynics when their perfect world order is unrealistic.

Cheers to adventure!!
The OP was whining about not having the adapter when it is clearly April onwards.

No matter how the adapters are distributed, some people will think the distribution will be unfair.
The only way absolutely everyone will be happy is if every Rivian owner gets the adapter overnighted to them. Tomorrow.

I'd just like to say that I've never seen a company be so adept at announcing (and missing) ambiguous timelines in a way that causes constant confusion and debate around said announcements. Just look at us parsing every damn word of that tweet with an electron microscope. They even said "soon" again!

At this point I'm thinking we are just pawns in some sort of next-level marketing strategy to get us to talk about the company. I'm not even mad...It's really impressive that they continue to pull this off so consistently after 2-3 years!
You should try owning a Mach e as well. There was the initial BlueCruise rollout then the BlueCruise 1.3 rollout that turned into a BlueCruise 1.4 rollout that was promised in December and still is awaiting delivery today.

I'm not one who gets too bothered by forum responses (lots of unhappy etc. people out there) but it is interesting to observe how this forum has changed over time. As a relatively early reservation holder and pretty early R1S owner (took delivery in Sept 2022) I've been on this forum for a while so am pretty familiar with the delays etc. that we experienced along the way. However though one post does not a pattern make I do remember when I was more active on this forum (probably 2 years ago) one thing I observed was that the overall 'sentiment' was pretty civil/constructive. It's interesting to see how things change as more people join/participate and how the tone etc. tends to evolve to more of a 'Reddit/Facebook' type look. (Silly aggressive posts, baseless claims of expertise and so on) Unavoidable I guess, more people etc.

FWIW one of the reasons I asked this (in addition to the post that Rivian made) was that I was in the local service center recently dropping off my R1S for repairs and I believe (definitely not going to swear by it) that I saw a few Tesla adapters on one of the shelves there. Again could totally have been something else, just saw it in passing so wanted to reach out to the community to see if anyone had gotten one yet.
Agreed. Posts and responses have definitely become more caddy and petty. Reminds me why I stopped reading/following Tesla forums. Disappointing for sure.

Don't you mean two days before the day after tomorrow. (that is a shameless South Park plug for the less sophisticated types)

A software update to maps is rolling out this week. It shows what Tesla chargers will be available. What I understand is only Tesla chargers on major interstates will be available. The software update, I guess is the start of the process..

The Tesla site already shows what chargers will be available.

I hope this isn't the method for distribution. It would be insane for them to tie up already slammed service center staff with this when they have a perfectly good retail Gear Shop infrastructure already in place.
This is one the operational issues that plagues this company. They can distribute stuffed animals easier. My S was missing the tie downs. Easy gear shop drop ship? Nope had to schedule a mobile service at my house, a complete waste of resource. How about have an out reach event that promotes their vehicles to the community and allows owners to pickup their adapter ala First Mile events from the past.

I picked up both the A2Z and Lectron adapters to test, while I wait for the Rivian official adapter. Like a few others on the YouTubes, I'll be monitoring temps while charging with my thermal camera and a few stick-on temp probes.
