Got this alert yesterday with 58% battery capacity. Did a vehicle reset and that took care of it. Anyone else experiencing something similar ? I take excellent care of my battery.

I see in your picture that the navigator thought you would arrive with 11mi of range. Perhaps it was saying that planning to arrive with such little buffer was risky.

You are not critically low yet, but you will be before you reach your destination.

Well it thought it would take you over 5 hours to make the 11 miles, so something was off.

As a side note, in vehicle nav is garbage, i wouldn't rely on it.

Since last update my navigation has been saying no range (critically low battery) but my actual range is fine. So I drive and it comes right immediately once I get in the road.

What does it mean to “take excellent care of battery”? I thought as an EV there isn’t really much to take care of with this vehicle. It’s not like it needs oil changes.

There are things you can do that are hard on your pack.

  • Consistently charge it to high levels.
  • Leave it at high levels of charge.
  • Consistently deplete the battery to very low levels
  • Leave the battery depleted.
  • Circumvent battery conditioning.
If you are not doing these things, you are "taking care of your battery".

So basically keep it between 20-80%, especially when parked for longer periods…

Yep. And leave it plugged in when you can, especially in extreme temps.

Well… the next four months of leaving it plugged in will be difficult as I still live in the city, but NYC doesn’t get brutally cold either…

As others said the Nav is really bad to terrible. I just did a 1,000 mile trip and the miles between stops was accurate but how much battery it thought I would have when arriving at a charger was always way off when I input the next stop. I got this warning a lot then would get to the charger with 30 miles of range left. It would also keep trying to take me to out of the way chargers while I was in route to a charger.

Also more than a few times the Nav would say traffic when there was zero other vehicles on the road. So if you know you can make it distance in google maps vs range left of battery you will probably make it just fine.
