That is great to know. Can I ask how many miles you had on your truck at the time and the service center that did the service? Want to make sure i have all my details if they try to charge me for it as from yours and others experience this does not seem like 'normal wear and tear'.
Sorry, missed your question.
I had 22,000 kms/13,680 miles

My front pads made it 51,000. My rear pads made it 25,000.

Rock auto Front pads fit well. Had to pop off a little metal tab but other than that it was no big deal.

I'd be pissed if I saw brake pad wear like that on a normal ICE car (not sports car). In an EV where you're using regen braking most of the time, it's inexcusable.

Pads look good, but you can definitely tell the inner pads are wearing 50% faster than the outer ones

Agree. Does it mean it should be a warranty issue? i.e. design flaw, etc? My understanding that calipers need to be calibrated and designed to wear evenly, no?

Warranty coverage, perhaps. Design flaw, no. It's from failure to properly lubricate pins and pad ears at the factory.

Got it. I just added another item to my next SC appointment - right caliper. Other 3 rotors show no signs of wearing at all. This one (front right) is polished like a mirror. I am in TX, so no bad weather, no snow, no salt. 30k miles, 2 years, no reason to have any stuck pin IMHO.

Just measured my brake pads while taking the snow tires off.
All four rear pads come in at 10.2 mm.
Driver side front inner pad 9.4mm, outer pad 9.6mm. More than I would expect for never using the brakes.

2023 R1S Quad
32,048 miles
High Regen
Brake pedal used for stopping less than once a month.
good amount of brake dust on all four calipers at every wash.

You mean more wear than you can expect (from the front)? New pads are 11mm as far as I remember. So 9.4 after 32k seems to be fine, no?

Currently at 24k miles and had the 7,500 service completed. Pads are still at same measurements of 10mm all the way around as they were at the first 7500 mile service. I asked about uneven ware and the service center said it's not normal. They claim they don't see much if any uneven ware on inside and outside pads. At current rate pads will last 180k miles before down to 3mm. Could be even longer.

I suspect that that un-lubed pins from factory is the culprit for the people seeing uneven ware.

My normal driving setup is high regen, All P mode, brake assist off.

I do notice weekly what looks like brake dust on rims but clearly its tire dust with the limited wear to the pads.

Morning - I have 27K miles on my R1T since mid May of last year. Brought it in for service last week and was told that my brake pads were at 4 and 5mm respectively and needed replacement. Has anyone else had issues like this? I have towed a 16 x 10' trailer for about 3K of the 27K miles but to be honest my main concern with brake pads was that they would rust from lack of use.
If you have long downhill stretches then your Riv will use the brakes automatically when regen is not available. This can be switched off if you choose, but a heavy vehicle will accelerate if it’s downhill enough. You Will at least know when brakes are being applied.

Same....2023 R1T with 37,000km, my front inners are 2-3mm, and my back are 3-4mm. Did they give you any insight as to why the quick wear?

Quick update:
SC replaced the rotor and pads on the right front brake. They said that it was uneven wear and suspect that the brake was "stuck". I do accidentally use brakes, and I live in Texas, no off-roading. No idea what could potentially make it stuck and create rust.

SC was great and solved the problem.
