Was initially designed to do both.It has a mic? Is that so it can serve as a speakerphone, or does it have Alexa built in as well?

I just messed with one of my camp speakers for the first time in months and needed this guide to figure out how to use the thing. It is so unintuitive. Terrible UI.
It kept making weird noises while docked so I removed it and started charging it from the wall.
Anyway, a few observations:
1) I liked the sound quality! I wasn’t previously impressed with it having way too many Sonos speakers around, but perhaps it was something with the acoustics in the room. Whatever it was, I enjoyed the it and I can also see the light providing nice ambiance and decent visibility in a dark camping area. Again, nice features and touches but horrible controls.
2) It is odd there’s a microphone. I don’t think the manual specifies any purpose for the microphone although some have mentioned conferencing capability and Alexa. Are those active features?
3) There’s a vehicle matching accessory port on the bottom. I never knew that:

Try charging it from outside the vehicle overnight...I'm hoping that will fix your issue.
