Went to use it at a party, it was dead. Had to manually charge it out of the truck. After putting it back in the truck, my phone will connect to it when I don't want to.
Frustrating device.

Very helpful! Can you add instructions for turning it on and off also? That is super confusing and doesn't seem to work reliably.

Why turn it off when it will just turn back on next time it detects your aura in the garage?

It would be more helpful if the software in the speaker actually behaved as advertised. Mine does not.

I agree. I thought the speaker was a great idea. And I still think it's a great IDEA. But the implementation is, well, not good. My speaker will randomly turn on and connect to my phone while it's in the truck and my phone is next to me while I'm sleeping. Or sometimes just refuse to connect to my phone. Or refuse to charge, or... Is it just me? I'm kind of a tech guy. I have other bluetooth speakers and I have no problem with them. I was hoping to leave them at home when I go camping, but I find the Rivian speaker so unreliable, that I have to still take along another speaker. The sound is good though when it works.

I agree - the speaker is not intuitive. Unfortunately these instructions don't help me. Maybe I'm just too dumb to decipher them, LOL. Should make my own.

That said, the speaker has a microphone? Why?

For your next draft a warning about how plugging in your phone with it off can drain your phone quickly as it charges itself from your phone (at least with an android Pixel)

Hi, maybe I'm the only one who doesn't find the Camp Speaker controls very intuitive, but if there are more of you out there, I made this little one-page cheat sheet for myself so that I don't have to keep opening the manual and scrolling to pages 220 - 226 (where I also find the sequence of instructions to be not-so-logical). I'm sharing it here, I hope some folks find this helpful!

I believe you can use it as a phone/conference speaker phone...

Hey folks, feeling dumb. When you fully power off your speakers (with juice still left it in), do the lightbulb icon and small dot below it go dark?

I assume the lamp light and the dot on means its in standby mode? I've never been able to fully turn off the speaker? I'll hold the action button for a while in hopes of turning it off but the dang lights always stay on. I've had the car for about 10 months but only recently pulled the camp speaker out. Realized I needed to charge it w/ a regular power brick first. So I've done that a few times, and also removed it from my phone's bluetooth profile so I don't connect to it. Now after fully charging, I'm trying to turn it off and I can't seem to figure that out? I feel like it's stuck in standby mode and then will fully drain itself leading me to having to fully charge it again.
